KeymasterNelle:
I download the Ride Report app and it seems to be working, but I’m not doing it through the TestFlight app. Is that helping, or am I outside the test group?

KeymasterConfirmed it’s bridge work, but don’t have a schedule. Trail is narrow and the turn is blind. SLOW DOWN and use caution.

KeymasterI am told the cones are for work being done on the underside of the bridge. Will try to get more details.
As always, please use caution.

As an Alaskan, I never thought I would have to type this on an Arlington Bike Forum, but please keep an eye out for bear(s) [might be the same guy], which have been seen near the Custis and Mt. Vernon Trails as reported here and here.

Looks like he moved down the trail a bit.

KeymasterThe brand-new finished covered bench in the photo is not available for sponsorship, according to Kevin at Nova Parks. There is another bench across the trail that is need of replacing and Kevin suggests that might be appropriate for a Pete/Dirt/WSGFABR bench. My two cents is that it’s close to the Veterans Common memorial, and would probably be associated with that. A fine cause, but had nothing to do with Pete, and I feel he warrants a stand-alone memorial.
After Bike to Work Day, perhaps we can convene a group of interested concerned citizens to review options.

Another clue might be when since you claim it is from the archives and house colors change as do shrubbery, tree cover, etc. So, when was the photo?
Generally you can tell roughly what year by the width of their lapels, but because their back are to us, I’ll just tell you this was taken in 2015.

KeymasterLast weekend I spoke to Kevin Casalenuovo, manager of the W&OD Railroad Regional Park, and reminded him about the community interest in this memorial. He said he still doesn’t have his revised policy for trailside memorial benches, but expects to soon. I’ll follow-up again to let him know interest is still there.

Fixed the header. If that’s not what you wanted, lemme know and I’ll change it back.

KeymasterThanks for the message. This was a policy set some time ago, but we will review it again. Again, thanks for the prompt.

KeymasterI added this to Chuck’s details post above but here it is separately. This will mostly be a one-way video feed. I’ll be on as host, but will mostly just have the camera pointed at the prize presentation.
Can’t make it in-person?
