We totally lose the bike room competition
Since you posted these pics, that means that we have “before” pictures so we can start on the bike room “after” pictures.

ParticipantI rode my first century last year at the Tour de Cure Chesapeake (starts/ends in Easton). Nice and flat, beautiful scenery, low fee/FR requirement, several mileage options. This year’s ride is May 17. http://main.diabetes.org/site/TR?fr_id=9355&pg=entry
We have friends who’ve ridden the maryland ms ride which follows a similar course as the TDC. Dates are May 31-june 1. http://bikemdm.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR?pg=entry&fr_id=22516
The 3rd Annual Crop Hop will go through PG county farm country. The route is still in the planning phase, but looks like a metric century with lots of stops to highlight the farms on the route (cheese, fruit/veggies, maybe even a winery). Tentative date is October 4.bikenurse
ParticipantI rode around my neighborhood this morning while the sun was bright and the snow was crispy. Didn’t ride far for fear of snow plows. I let some air of of the tires on my Rove and did ok. LOTS of layers and ski goggles made it possible. And I only rode about 2 miles. I’m lucky I live in a quiet neighborhood and can get in a short ride pretty easily.

ParticipantTo the guy who zoomed past me in the BMW SUV on R street today: Thanks so much for the extra workout I got today when you sped around me and then stopped at every speed hump. I was way impressed with the acceleration of your awesome expensive German-engineered vehicle while I practiced track stands. FYI: I read a recent paper that proved that people that drive BMWs tend to be a$$holes.

We not only connected on our Strava page, but connected in person with a happy hour this evening. (The last bridge was crossed on the way to the happy hour.) Thanks for fostering the connection!
Kudos to my teammates for all their bridge crossings and the peer pressure. Living in PG County I would not have crossed the Arlington Mem Bridge without some incentive – like happy hour at Chadwick’s (and a 60 deg day in January for a 40 mile ride). Great to meet Carol, Emma, Chris & Chris – wonderful team mates!

Bambi (spotted fawn) had run into the woods by the time you snapped your photo. No wonder momma was disgruntled!
