Does it count if Millie brought the doughnuts? The Apple cheesecake doughnut was amazing – a cross between Apple pie , cheese danish, and a doughnut (duh). Went great with my latte!5f60d49fc2a5d9a43d654e50f5727b03.jpg744da6658211e0ec74acf0609827d777.jpg

Today’s coffee ride to Vigilante for a lovely latte and an acai bowl (no bananas. I hate bananas). And an Astro donut that Millie shared. Apple cheesecake donut. So good. 1474afefde4d9dde42e99ef69a073c28.jpg

If anyone knows him, please have him come to the white courtesy telephone.

I saw John this morning and he said he’d signed up. Hmmm

Okay… I’m done as of the last one. That video is so amusing – warning – adult content. Lol.

Bikenurse, during the second part of that vacation, if you can only scare up a single bike, I think it would be best to let Greenbelt have it. There’s no need to go out of your way to get a few extra points :p

:p I think you should stick to your own team thread! And I can wrestle Greenbelt for a bike…. (small but mighty)

I like the name small and perfect. or just perfect 6.I wear size 6 gloves and shoes, so the moniker is pretty perfect IMHO.
I’m bikenurse AKA Laurie. I will ride everyday as is possible. Jeff/Greenbelt and I are going to Costa Rica for 2 weeks 1/21-2/5. The first week is mountain biking in the interior (“sweating saddles”), so no problem with riding then. Provided I survive a week of mountain biking (I’m a terrible mountain biker), the second week is lowland remote jungle, beach, scuba. Hopefully I can scare up a bike somewhere. If not, I will try to make up miles when I get back. I will do my best to keep up with Greenbelt (on the dreaded team 7) while on vacation. BTW – I live in Greenbelt and know how to get around to most places, so will be happy to organize some rides/meet ups. I like to ride for food, coffee, beer, sweets, so feel free to make some suggestions for meet up spots.

    Carol: feel better soon!!

I’m planning to come (though Jeff/Greenbelt may already have RSVP’d for me)

introductions: I’m Laurie – AKA bikenurse. This is my 4th year in BAFS. Carol C and I were on the winning team 2 years ago when the game was much smaller. Eric W and I were on the same team last year. I ride mostly for transportation on my cross bike or touring bike, but also have a sweet road bike for the occasional fast-ish ride. I live in Greenbelt and I work in College Park (I am co-owner of Proteus Bicycles). I am a nurse practitioner and I commute 1 day/week to downtown DC to see patients.I try to do about 100 miles/week. Fair warning – I will be out of town from 1/16 – 2/14. Half of our trip is a bicycle tour of New Zealand, so I’ll put on lots of miles. The other 1/2 of our trip is on a small island in Fiji where I don’t think I’ll be able to ride (though I promise I will look for a bike – apparently there are no roads where we’re going). Other disclosures: my son (dr paulproteus) is on team 6 and my husband (Greenbelt) is on team 5. I want to crush them both.

Hi folks, since the strava club name will likely get truncated for charts, wanted to propose naming it either just “Team 4 – BAFS2016” or at least putting the “Team 4” part at the beginning. We probably need team (club) naming guidelines. Though I’m loath to start that “debate”.

    :-/
Can we use The 4th Awakens? I wasted a lot of work time coming up with that name ;-) I know we’ve had longer names in past BAFS
