From 18th St. South/S Hayes St, jog onto the sidewalk at the first curb cut west of Fern St.
Pass the first set of condos on your right.
Turn right onto the grassy area between the buildings. There’s a bit of a short, steep hill, so you may want to walk your bike.
Come back about 50 yards. Look for the patio with the red Nationals, Curly W flag.

Great to hang out for a spell with some of the regulars this morning, at the Shirlington Best Buns CC; this was the first time I remembered to swing by!
Love the ice cubes of frozen coffee used in Best Buns’ cold brew — just finished the last melting cube at my desk…

Great to meet up with folks at Swing’s on E. Monroe today; why it took me this long to put coffee reminders into my phone, I’ll never know!

Another enjoyable Swings morning—no rush this time as I took the day off for my b’day. And thanks to Casey there for the nudge to “ride my birthday age” today (and the shady ride south on MVT after)—and reminding me that kilometers were an available option… so 31.7mi / 51km ended conveniently at Velo Cafe for lunch!
Will see if I work up to another 20 mi before evening…
