I learned at Imperial HDCC at Best Buns that Rapha is having its sale. That ended up being a really expensive tall coffee and scone.

If a jersey costs x and a Rapha jersey costs 4x, calculate the savings of a Rapha jersey costing .6(4x). Hmmm… Maybe I’ll wait for an Assos sale and really save some bucks.

If absolute cost is the only factor that matters to a person, then this makes sense. Otherwise…

Hmmm, looking online the most expensive Rapha short sleeve jersey is $195, while the most expensive Assos short sleeve jersey is $228 and you look like this guy:

I’m not seeing how your math works. Plus, aren’t you a lawyer?

Naaaaah. If he were an attorney, he would be able to do no math whatsoever.

Here is an actual picture of Dread at his job:

Assos is outfitting the new Evil Knievel! Do you think he can jump the Grand Canyon on his souped up eBike?

I’m not concerned with absolute cost, I’m concerned with absolute savings. The concept is best understood with the statement “but it was On Sale!”

40% off $200 is a savings of $80, while 40% off $250 is a savings of $100. The more expensive item is therefore a better deal in On Sale logic even though it costs more.

Only an idiot would think like this. Smart people know that it’s free shipping that makes a deal worthwhile.

My daughter saves us hundreds of dollars every time she goes shopping. Pretty soon we’ll be millionaires!

Just wondering if anyone is planning to do Coffee Club over these next few days….

Best Buns is open tomorrow (Wedn) for the HDCC.
Java Shack is open both Thursday and Friday.

Not to suggest that anyone might wish a little two-wheeled escape from the joys of family togetherness. :)
