ParticipantJust one question and if you have the right answer you just may convert an atheist to your way of thinking. Will this make the hills significantly easier?

ParticipantPretty sure I’ve admired the colors on your bike parked at the CoOp or maybe Whole Foods in SS so I’ll be on the look out. Sorry its gone.

Participant150 protected bike lanes in the US? My god, thats almost one for every 21 million people in the country. Clearly Obama did get that infrastructure spending in after all, the sly old fox of a pol that he is.

ParticipantEverything is better with wine. I barely managed a few drops with nought but salad and yogurt in the panniers. Did have a menacingly green and grey sky though, love riding with the wind scudding in odd bursts and directions.

The ‘car free’ table at Rosslyn was giving some very cool black T-shirts with a jumble of small white writing listing all the ways to manage without a car–when you stepped back the writing jumble merges into a white bike against the black background.

ParticipantSilver Spring afternoon pit is in the parking lot of the Giant Food. A more soulless and bike unfriendly place in all of SS would be hard to find but it’s all about the people right?

ParticipantSilver Spring stop was going strong at 8:15 am. The rain had slackened substantially by then from the torrents of 7 am. Looked like a smaller turn out of exhibiters than last year, kind of matching the lower turn out of riders but it did mean that everyone fit under the Discovery building overhang and had a ‘relatively’ dry space. Many of the usual suspects hung in like Silver Cycles, WABA and the County Police. Whole Foods had better coffee there than they serve in the store. Not sure how that works, perhaps it just tastes better on BTWD – when one is all wet after not finding his rain pants.
Happy BTWDay to all and to all a better BTWD happy hour!
