Next year I’d like to hit 3000, I think. That seems like a nice number. (If I commute 4 times a week I’ll break 4000.)
I hope I will have a new bike soon.
I am also terrible at hills and want to get over my fear of descents :P
(Here is my hill. http://app.strava.com/segments/700156 )
I want to do a scary challenge like a century or double.
I want to learn to mountain bike.
I think in 2014 I might like to investigate cyclocross. How DOES one get started in ‘cross?
I had more things to say but I’m coming down with a cold and my brains are all floaty.
Oh! Group rides. I would like to learn those.
And I want to participate more in Local Bike Things.
    And wrenching.
Also I still need some new shorts.

Well, I didn’t come anywhere NEAR my mileage goal, but I did ride over double the miles I rode in 2012, so I’ll take it! I’ll just shoot for doubling again next year.
(I can TOTALLY do 440 HP laps by Wednesday, right?)
I got my new bike back in May and I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooove it!
I still suck at hills but I ride down them faster now :D
    I did a metric century!
I took a mountain bike class with eminva and rediscovered that I am, shall we say, “risk-averse”. :D
Went on some group rides and discovered GRAVEL!
    Did some participatin’.
    Fixed some stuff.
Bought lots of bike stuff, including shorts.
Didn’t run at ALL this year. Gotta do some of that next year :D

I hope it gets cold enough this year that I can use my lobster mitts & balaclava! :D

My toes were a little cold this morning, I will admit. 😎

I second the motion, the word clutch shall be brought back into the vocabulary as meaning awesome! Totally nice score on the mitts.

Stop trying to make “fetch” happen. It’s not gonna happen! :D

    I missed the classes… :(

But Santa brought me an Edge 500!

I’m just setting up the pages and I liked the look of this setup someone posted on Bikeforums:

    Page 1- Instantaneous Data
    – Current Speed
    – Training Time
    – Distance Traveled
    – Current Cadence
    – Current Heart Rate

Page 2 – Averages and Sums
    – Average Speed
    – Average Cadence
    – Calories
    – Heart Rate Zone
    – Average Heart Rate
    – Heart Rate % Max

    Page 3 – Conditions
    – Time of Day
    – Temperature
    – Total Distance ( i know I have it here too )
    – Total Ascent
    – Grade
    – Elevation

    Whatcha think?

I’ve already discovered that the user manual is really not helpful.

Does anyone know if any dealer that has a QBP account can order Salsa frames?

Yes. Salsa is a QBP brand.

I was reaaaaaally happy I put the 28s on. :D

I managed 12 laps before my legs wore out. Not terrible for having been sick the last couple of weeks. Had fun riding and chatting with people!

Gatorskins maybe? (looking at what REI has in stock). Will I need to swap tubes too?

I would. My Kona Jake came stock with those in 32s, and I really didn’t like them – I generally agree with this review, although mine weren’t the “Deluxe” – I think I have a previous model year. The tread is the same though (easy to get small gravel bits stuck in it).

They’re fine for commuting and gravel and stuff, but speedy they are not. (I read that review too :D)

Do I wanna swap out my tires (Freedom Ryder 35s) for 28s or 25s or something? That would require going and buying tires :P

I’m glad I stopped in to this thread – all this time I was thinking the ride was Saturday, except that the ride is on Sunday.

Well if you start on Saturday, you’ll get to 100 way before everyone else. WINNAR!
