ParticipantApparently, someone else thought those comments were worth skipping, as they no longer exist.

ParticipantWe’ve now got a reply that says:
Hi all — the team’s administrator/captain should be able to make the team “private” or “public.” It must be “public” for you to see the join button.
Rod, can you please check and make sure the team is “public,” so that we can go nag them again? :rolleyes:

ParticipantI know the “Liar, Liar Pants on Fire” award never got presented due to the absence of the presenter. But does anyone know who won it?

ParticipantI did that. It found the group–but still provided no link to join it. I’m pretty sure there used to be a join link–it looks like one of their updates killed it.

Go to my account, scroll down to Your Groups, search, submit. (I think..).

ParticipantNot a moron. Here is the link to the team. But I can’t find a link to join, either.

ParticipantI’m hanging out on a bench next to the refreshment stand. 60 year old white female, yellow and white jersey, black tights, seriously overloaded bike.

ParticipantDo I sense bitterness here!

If you show up and I’m there and I look what I’m doing, you don’t want to follow me. Any member of Team 2 might be facing a quick jaunt up 23rd Street.:rolleyes:

ParticipantHere is what Google bike maps recommends, in the absence of 4MR trail. However, my plan is to show up at the Jefferson Memorial CaBi station and follow whoever looks like s/he knows the way. If that doesn’t work, I’ll set the GPS on my phone to tell me where to go–and assume that it will recalculate once I get thrown off onto the 4MR detour.

ParticipantYou know you can delete a post? If you click on “Edit,” there is a choice there for “Delete.”

ParticipantWell, if you count by weight, they definitely are! Maybe you should get to double your BAFS miles, on the theory that you actually rode two bikes at once?

Counted me and my trailer as two bikes. 😎

ParticipantWell, I’m still having issues with its moving all my Sunday rides in MapMyFitness to Monday rides in National Bike Challenge. But other than that, it works.
@cyclingfool 81180 wrote:
Cool. Thanks for that!
Oh what a tangled web of ride syncing I’ve woven between Tapiriik and now this. At least I won’t have to go the NBC site every day now.
Oh, and BTW, with all the stuff that seems to be buggy and not working on the site, integration of data from mapmyride.com is one thing that seems to be working just great.

ParticipantSurely some of those photos should be posted on the Inter-team photos contest?

ParticipantFitnessyncer will sync Garmin or Strava to MapMyFitness, which is one of the apps that works with the National Bike Challenge. Just be aware that it syncs only once a day. I set it to sync, and when it didn’t seem to work right away, uploaded all those rides to MapMyFitness–only to have them all duplicated after the first sync. Other than that, it has worked fine.

is tapirik not syncing endomondo anymore? If not, then I’m out. Toilet paper is not worth the hassle of uploading multiple times.
@hozn 81098 wrote:
It is not … :-[ When Collin (the developer behind tapiriik.com) added the new “stationary activity” (i.e. trainer ride) support to the tool, the Endomondo plugin was disabled. I assume it is either because Endomondo doesn’t support FIT activity types through their API or some other shortcoming related to this functionality. I have not asked Collin about it — or volunteered to port it
On my plate is updating the RideWithGPS tapiriik plugin that I *did* write to support the new stationary activity API.
Likewise, I don’t plan to join if it requires separate upload.

ParticipantI’d forgotten we had separate categories for men and women on this one. I think I may be close to the top on the women’s one, if only because I had the most to lose in the first place. However, it looks like my teammate acl was the overall winner.

I wasn’t too careful looking back through the thread, but I think my 4% loss was still at the top for men. I’m as surprised as you (especially because I didn’t really try very hard).

ParticipantSigh! How about actually giving yourself time to heal, so you don’t make this worse?

Driving is so bad. So so so so bad. Especially on days like this. Silver lining is I can feel the sun and warm air ACTUALLY HEALING my clavicle. It’s SCIENCE.
Doc says two more weeks, but everyone knows metric system conversion makes that really 4 days.
