Another Custis assault

This sounds incredibly brazen though the article is sparse on details. (I suggest skipping the comments accompanying the article.) Overall I think our trails are quite safe, but episodes like this remind us that there may be things we could do to make them safer.

Apparently, someone else thought those comments were worth skipping, as they no longer exist.

Were the comments more of the violent anti cyclist hate speech from N-S and Kev?

Nope. The comments are about crime, likely perpetrators, and the such. This part of the trail is basically a sidewalk for Lee Highway, although behind the sound wall, with access to apartment buildings. Given the amount of pedestrian traffic, people realized this there is very little cyclist comment to the story, other than this sidewalk is also the Custis trail.

(Perhaps the solution is to tear down the sound wall. It would certainly help with winter icing.:rolleyes:)

This is bizarre! When I look at it in Firefox, it specifically says, “No comments.” And if I click on those words, it takes me to the end of the page, where there are in fact no comments. However, in Chrome, it says there are 67 comments. Apparently, it’s a browser issue.

I passed by a news crew on this section of Custis on my way home last night (blocking half the trail during evening rush hr — great idea guys!). I’m assuming they were reporting on this story?
