And just a reminder to everyone:  Responding to this post is not the most efficient way of contacting the leadership of Freezing Saddles.  In the first place, I don’t check the forum every day.  In the second place, I am almost never the appropriate person to contact, since I handle only initial registration and the mailing list.  Teams questions, freezingsaddles.org questions, Discord questions, pointless prize questions, and happy hours questions are all someone else’s department.

There is a contact form at https://freezingsaddles.info/contact-form/ which automatically sends an e-mail to the appropriate person, based on the “Subject” you choose.  That is way more likely to get you a timely answer than responding to this post.

@rod-smith, you’re on both the team and individual leaderboards now.  Sometimes the site just takes a little while to update after you join your team’s Strava club.

@steve-bouchard, don’t click on anything in that menu when you get to the link I posted.  The registration form is that exact page.  I did fix the top menu item, but you don’t need to click on any of them.

@steve-bouchard, that’s because you never registered to be on a team.  (Registering for the Strava group, etc. is not the same as registering for a team.)  And once teams are formed, people who are not on a team get moved to the “Friends of BAFS” tab.

I would strongly recommend going and registering now at https://freezingsaddles.info/.  It is too late to be on a team initially.  However, the teams people will need replacements for those who don’t ride, who don’t sign up for their team’s Strava club, or who get injured along the way, so you are very likely to end up on a team.

The team captains don’t actually pick who is on their teams.  However, you are very likely to get assigned to one in the end.  There are always people who register and then fail to sign up for their team’s Strava club.  Or who get injured along the way. We need substitutes for both groups. Just keep riding, and you’re likely to make it!

@jim-williams, no.  All miles for a particular day are added to determine points.

@eric-feigenbaum, you will find out at the initial happy hour (and you’ll get an e-mail in the relatively near future regarding when that is).  If you can’t attend, the teams will be posted on the forum the next day.

@mcmitaly, well, somehow you clicked on the link to confirm your e-mail, so you’re good to go.  You’ll just have to join the Strava club for your team once you are assigned to a team.  That will happen at the happy hour.  And if you’re unable to attend the happy hour, the list will be posted here.

@Bigredboiler, you might also want to have them tag the photo (not just the ride) with #Yum.  That will cause the photos to automatically appear on a single page on the freezingsaddles.org site.  See the one for the scavenger hunt, https://freezingsaddles.org/pointless/hashtag/scavhunt, for an example.

Is there a scorecard this year, like the one for 2021-2024?  (There was one for 2025, but it’s been taken down now.)

@soupcampbell51, Strava was lagging a bit today.  However, you’ve got at least one ride showing now.  If you had other rides that are not showing up, you can use the contact form to ask the appropriate person to look into it.
