Weekly Coffee Gatherings

Nice to meet Lordofthemark and SpaceJockey. If anyone intends to go to the Velo Café, note that as of now it only opens at 8 AM and then only the window where they sell. The inside doesn’t open until 9 AM. I assume this will eventually change.

As is typical for me I got there early and tested the bikeometer before the others arrived. It only registers if you go in front of it. If you go behind it or cross the street at that point you will be missed, so if the object is to figure out how many people use the LBP, it is badly undercounting and should have been placed slightly northwest of where it is. It will be a better indication when the LBP continues southeastward..

Howdy all! Recently returned to town, looking over the options for tomorrow’s coffee club. On the calendar FCC I is at Swing’s, but this isn’t listed at the top of this discussion with the rest. Also. Is there an early club at Velo?

Swing’s is shut down for reconstruction. FCC I is at A Baked Joint as shown on the FS calendar
Velo Cafe does not open early enough (yet) for a typical commuter coffee club. However, there’s a happy hour there tonight.

Someone perhaps pre-caffeinated left an odd note at the door of Lazy Mikes this morn, confusing and confounding the staff. It said something along the lines of it being approximately 7.03 am yet Lazy Mikes was closed. Scrawled on the remains of what appears to be a priority post, the staff was less then sure how to take this. Was this a manifesto of the Liberation Pancake Front? Should they report this to the Department of Just-Ice Cream?

Lazy Mike came up to me himself and said “We be like open at 7.30 am just like we always open at 7.30 am – should we worry this manifesto left at our door?”

Mike’s was open a little late this morning, but within reason. Another establishment was suggested in the note, we could try it tomorrow?
