There are a couple of groups of cyclists who meet there, but there’s not a forum-affiliated or bike-DC coffee club. Probably roadies; you’d have to be jumped-in gang style to join them.

Damn! Do you have the option of being sexed-in? Some of us bruise easily.

Not every place I ride to is a forum event.

Not until you get there, anyway.

It’s happened three weeks in a row. Today, despite the rain, there was an all-star showing. Let’s officially call it a Thing and put it on the sticky so more will join the fun!

Lattes and cold brew on DRAFT, espresso drinks, juice bar. Hot breakfast bar and pastries. Nuun tablets in a bin by the register. Outdoor seating. Easy route into DC via Long Bridge Drive past the Pentagon. Good company and commuting caravans. What’s not to like?

Credit to ArlingtonRider for making it happen, and Judd for the acronym.

    Thursdays 7:00-8:00 ish

Naming credit belongs to LeprosyStudyGroup. I’m just the hype man of the name.

Actually, I don’t get credit for any of this, except perhaps for suggesting that the WTF prefix originated by LSG could stand for a variety of things, with the more common meaning being my favorite. :) I believe that Ian and Judd came up with the idea for making this a coffee club venue, Ed suggested Thursdays, and Gina wrote a great post this morning to invite everyone to join us, so all credit goes to them!

So is the FCCII caravan now a relic…dead…gone…kaput? Or are there others interested in reviving it? I’ll be at the regular meet-up spot at the WOD and Maple in Vienna tomorrow morning, ready for a prompt 6:30 departure.

It seems to have died from a lack of eliteness.

I haven’t been able to make the caravan time frame at all in 2016, it’s just too early with my family schedule, and who knows when that will change.

Or perhaps it was annoying and/or dangerous riding conditions as reflected in several incidents.

Caravan is like the slug lines, it just happens without any governance. You have the power to make it happen.

It’s time to bring CCCC under the Weekly Coffee Gathering umbrella.

Unfortunately I must announce I won’t be there this Tuesday. Believe it or not, I’m having our air conditioner checked tomorrow morning. See you all at Cosi (2011 Crystal Drive) next week.

So I noticed a marked lessening in the number of cyclists at A Baked Joint this morning. I had to leave at 8:00 in the hopes of not being fired, but perhaps others came by later and weren’t kept away by the howling winter winds.

I didn’t think the weather was too bad this morning but getting out of bed was hell. Sorry that I didn’t make it out.
