Rancid with a small “r”. Seeing Rancid on the MUP would have been most triumphant.

ParticipantWas stinky until we hit some inclines and I was able to pass the guy in front of me.
Seriously, if I can smell your rancid gear from 20 feet back first thing in the morning, you may have a hygiene problem.OneEighth
ParticipantTwo solid low-fives on the way home.

ParticipantDC isn’t even willing to get the vendor trucks out of there to ease motor vehicular congestion and improve emergency response. Especially not when the commuters being impacted are (for the most part) not DC residents.
Stupid AND spiteful.OneEighth

That was me and LeprosyStudyGroup who said “hi” to you yesterday morning on the 4 Mile Run detour! The elusive and rare OneEighth sighting.
Great to see you both out enjoying the awesome riding weather.
Gotta say, there’s something really nice about knowing that you are likely to see someone you know on the commute.
Am still waiting for someone to recognize me when I’m sitting on the moto stuck in 15th Street traffic.OneEighth
ParticipantFull moon.

But I would like it noted that I managed not to violate the color scheme even when not in regular kit.OneEighth
ParticipantSomeone (white male, 40’s, medium build, long gray beard, short cropped hair, off-white pork pie hat, ID on a blue lanyard) snapped my pic surreptitiously at 3:20 as I headed West on G between 14 and 15th NW in the bike lane this evening.
Big lens on that camera.
Wonder if/where that’s gonna show up.OneEighth

Sorry I was a bit slow this morning. Was still processing that I recognized the kit when you were already shouting my name.

Arlington drivers must be really outstanding and well-behaved.
One would rather not have the dirty, sweaty cyclists scratch one’s BMW. Hence the strict adherence to the 3 foot rule.

Ah—certainly wasn’t portrayed that way. Makes it a good question to harp on.

ParticipantI can get behind NTFU.
But…gotta say it…if you are on a geared bike and need to draft me on my fixie, a little HTFU may be in order.April 19, 2017 at 3:21 pm in reply to: !Meeting Update! Attendees Needed! Washington Blvd Bike Lanes Meeting 3/1 5pm-8pm #1069612OneEighth

Can anyone explain why board members are so afraid of a vocal few arguing to save parking spaces in this situation? It’s particularly odd when most houses in the area have their own driveways, there is ample parking in the area, etc.
If I remember correctly, some of the houses on that stretch do not have driveways.
