Participant#cb3/NaLa is back home in NaLa, the Potomac Yard section, Arlington side, near peering eyes, a giant Curly W, and the Crystal City Transitway, S Glebe Rd station. Find it nestled in the pachysandra.

ParticipantMOVING CALVINBALL BACK TO THE FORUM
Now that the Forum is back up, I’d like to move Calvinball back to the Forum. I’m leaving the current statuses of the three balls in play on the Facebook page and have made sure that the Forum is likewise updated. Please use the forum threads for #cb1/Spokes, #cb2/My Precious, and #cb3/NaLa effective immediately. Thanks!!!!kwarkentien
ParticipantThis was picked up by Steve Szibler a few days ago and planted here yesterday (see pic). Steve wrote “Here’s where Cb2 is now. It is not far from one of our pointless prizes.” I have no other clues, so if you know where this is (I think it’s near Peirce Mill), go for it.

ParticipantAt the top of a great hill (my “favorite” hill!) is the site of an old Civil War fort that guarded DC. There’s a playground there now, and near the “fort” you will find #cb1/Spokes.

Hi Karen,
I am sorry to say this, but your BAFS tags qualify as objects brought from home. So, it’s a violation of Rule 14.
Rule 14: Let’s stick to things you find out there during your ride, not things you bring or make yourself (unless otherwise specified). Example 1: Don’t build a pile of dirt, snow, or rocks if the Wordle clue is “MOUND”; Example 2: if the Wordle clue is “FRUIT” don’t bring a piece of fruit with you on your ride, and take a photo of that. This takes the fun out of looking for things, which is the whole point.
Could you please delete the hashtag from your Strava post?
Wow! Didn’t know there were so many rules. Removed the tag.

ParticipantMight I suggest a bike corral that is appropriately staffed by volunteers throughout the event? This is how we handled bike parking in the past at locations like Mr Smith’s in Georgetown. The HH organizers arranged for said “staffing” of the bike corral as I know well because I froze my ass off spending most of my time outside babysitting bikes. It’s not much fun, but it’s a viable solution.

Participant#cb1, 2, and 3 have been deployed. Go find them.
Remember:
1. Post as soon as you find one so others aren’t aimlessly looking for it.
2. Redeploy as soon as you can. It’s hot potato.
3. Hide so they’re not blatantly obvious to casual bystanders but not so much that they can’t be found.
4. Post pix in the respective cb thread that clearly indicate where the ball is. Please do this during daylight hours. It’s too hard to determine most landmarks in the dark.
5. Only pick up 1 ball at a time. Don’t hog 2 or 3 at once.
6. Take an item out if you like but then replace with something else. Bikey things are the best but tissues and other cold weather things work great too.
7. Have fun.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
