I plan to be there and will try to bring the wife as well.

Bike parking is likely not great. I’ll be in that general area this afternoon and will try to remember to check it out. Probably a lot of sign posts and a few racks covered in rental scooters

Per Google maps, bike parking is paltry.

Google Maps is, unfortunately, accurate. There are a couple of railings that in summer would be used to get to outdoor seating but in winter are merely decorative. I suspect this is where people will end up locking bikes. Expect to lock to someone else’s bike. I may end up getting my ride in earlier then taking the bus, but that may not be a good option for you.

The forecast (for what it’s worth this far out) says steady rain all day. I may be on the Metro.

I will consult The Cabal on how many demerit points to award for taking Metro to a Freezing Saddles event to avoid bad weather

Oh, I’ll probably do the 13-mile ride to work in the morning, regardless of any inclemency, but I may “cheat” on the way home and hit the HH via Metro. :D

Might I suggest a bike corral that is appropriately staffed by volunteers throughout the event? This is how we handled bike parking in the past at locations like Mr Smith’s in Georgetown. The HH organizers arranged for said “staffing” of the bike corral as I know well because I froze my ass off spending most of my time outside babysitting bikes. It’s not much fun, but it’s a viable solution.

If I’m able to make it (TBD given work deadlines and our daughter’s orthodontist appointment that afternoon), I’ll take CaBi. IIRC there’s plenty of parking (for a normal crowd) within a few blocks of the location, but not much right there.

I will NOT attend, due to COVID-19 (I’m feeling better, thanks Paxlovid, but still contagious)  Hope everyone has a good time, looking forward to hearing all about it.
