Yeah, this shouldn’t happen. I believe it’s due to a mis-adjusted limit screw on the front derailleur. The shop you got it from should adjust it for free.

They already did last week, I’ll have to mess with it some more. :P Most annoying.

    Wooooooooooooooooooooooooo bike ride!

Either I have completely forgotten how to shift or my front derailleur has gone wonky. I keep dropping my chain to the inside and I CHIPPED MY PAINT! 😡

Dear Guy on Foldy Bike By Gravelly Point: Hope you didn’t mind me hanging out behind you for a while. It was too nice out to ride fast :)

Those bollard-installin’ guys are SRS BZNS. I stopped at the light next to their vans and one of the guys proceeded to very methodically sweep mud all over the side of an Audi that stopped too close to his nice new bollard hole. :p

    I don’t think I saw a boat today though :(

What ever happened to that guy? He was quite helpful.

They moved back west I think.

Oh and then there was the time cyclingeconomist waited by the 14th St Bridge in the FREEZING cold and dark to look at my derailleur which was not derailling. That was REALLY nice. :)

Another time when I crashed my bike and landed on my head and was sitting in the middle of the sidewalk by the Tidal Basin trying to get my eyes to point in the same direction and hoping that no one would run over my blinky light that wound up in the middle of the road, a nice cyclist stopped and asked if I was OK. Thanks nice cyclist!

One time I stopped at Caribou Coffee in Shirlington and it was really hot and I was really tired and I went in to get a juice and I didn’t have enough cash in my little phone pocket on my bag so a nice lady gave me some change so I could get my juice without having to dig through my whole bag to find my debit card. Thanks nice lady!

Ah yeah, I looked Online Very Closely at that sweetpea model! It’s interesting what’s happening with Civilian. It seemed they quickly became the “in house brand” of backcountry/competitivecyclist and now they’re running solo again. Their newest batch of CX stuff is quite interesting, I like this SSCX with belt drive and disc brakes.

I luuuuuurve the paint job on that. It has orange. And a belt drive. And discs. And BIG FRENCH WORDS. :)

Wait wut? they sell them or were they just servicing someone’s? I’m curious to know what they look like in person.

That frame on the clymb was a pretty decent spec.

They were just servicing one – I think it was a Vive Le Roi – the model that was on Competitive Cyclist last year with the really big fat fork. It was in that really cool sweetpea color scheme too :D
