Yes I know it is 60 degrees out there and it will be 70 on Sunday. But this is winter and it MAY snow again in which case you might need studs:

Baa Humbug! If I wait around and ignore my boss when could you get there?

Baa Humbug? I think not. Dickie was definitely feeling the Christmas spirit today and all us FCCII attendees benefited. Thanks again Dickie and happy holidays to all!

I’ll be there. Sadly been off the bike for the last two days due to crazy work events and am feeling grumpy as a result.

Custis was squeaky clean from EFC to Spout Run!

Ditto. I round the Arlington loop. Custis, MVT, four mile run, and W&OD all clear. There are a few soggy spots on the Custis that might be sloppy in the morning tomorrow but it shouldn’t be bad.

Nice! Of course, you should have waited for freezing saddles. I believe last year there was a pointless prize for the best strava route image.

yep. Time to learn to ride on dirt and stuff. Pretty sure it’s going to make a great commuter when my commuting season starts up again, too. Also, every bike I ever buy for ever after is going to have disc brakes and SRAM levers. Those of you who recommended SRAM for little hands, thank you! You were totally right; huge difference!

Totally agree with the disc brakes and SRAM levers love. I have those on the Viaje and they are what I miss the most when I go ride the Masi.

Let’s narrow this down to the first or second Thursday (January 2 or 9). Please pipe in and let me know if these dates (both or either) for you!

I can likely do the 2nd but definitely not the 9th.

Fortunately I get to gift myself so these have now arrived at Bikenetic and are just waiting for me to pick them tomorrow. Its going to be a long day today!

Love it! Of course I’m traveling for a good bit of Jan so don’t plan around me but I’ll be there if I can.

Didn’t want to ride the studs on 10 miles of clear roads just to ride a few miles of icy trails for a third day, so I put on my multi-trail 35s and took Washington to Clarendon instead of the WOD/Custis. Saved about 12-15 minutes over my time yesterday morning.

I didn’t get to ride today () but will again tomorrow and figure the studs will be overkill. Still got the 40s on the Viaje so that down Wilson/Fairfax seems the way to go. Should be fine right?

I’ll be passing my crown to the next King or Queen of the world. To win it travel the world and bike on as many continents as possible. If there is a tie for continents I’ll let the countries be the deciding factor. Still a tie, then who has the most K/QOMS?

Oh, and I’ve just booked my annual Germany tradeshow trip for Jan 7 – 15 (apologies to my future Freezing Saddles teammates). I will ride while there so to win this you’ll need at least three continents. I imagine riding in South America would be lovely during Freezing Saddles ….

I’m playing around with this and it looks great. Thanks Hozn!

Potential bug (or maybe browser incompatibility or user error) issue: When on the “data exploration tab” I click on something like “time in saddle” and the screen flashes then goes blank and resets to elevation gain. This happens for all categories. If I pick the same category again it then works fine. Strange. I’m using Firefox but will try it in Chrome and Explorer tomorrow.
