ParticipantSince I am always heading in the opposite direction I have not been able to enjoy the FCC in DC, so I wondered if anyone else would be interested in starting a parallel FCC in Arlington on Friday mornings? Perhaps at Northside Social? We will have to deal with being the bastard children of the FCC (is that a Clash song?) but that’s pretty fitting for those of us who don’t cross the river all that much. Anyone interested in stopping for java this friday, perhaps around 7:30am?

ParticipantWorks better for me. Could be a chance for a double dip for those continuing across the river.

As long as you guys aren’t poaching our FCC1 members…

ParticipantYes, I might could even swing by at times maybe!

ParticipantThat said, I think a field trip out to FCC 2 could be a great way to get to work late on Friday mornings.

I’ll write you a note for being late if you want!

ParticipantFunny you should write this post… I rode past Green Lizard Bike/Coffee shop in Herndon this AM and thought that we should do a Herndon FCC. I might be the only attendee for Herndon, but it’s a nice thought.

Didn’t take you long to figure out my cunning plan… “come to the dark (roast) side…”

It’s nice that Tim isn’t hedging or anything.

I’d be game for Herndon, probably Hozn too… he tends to “accidentally” miss Reston and ride out to Sterling with me.
Also would do Northside Social if I were working from home.

How early do they open? Time to create a Tour de FCC and take a Friday morning off? Could make a full half century out of it.

“swing”?
Are you mocking the FCC1 team?

ParticipantLooks like Green Lizard opens at 7am on weekdays.

ParticipantAs an FCC virgin, I could attend either. Clarendon’s closer, but there’s the appeal of the tradition of Swing’s. I plan to be at one or the other this Friday.
Not sure if FCC1 should charge a a franchise fee or not, but I’m looking forward to the time when there are 5-6 FCC’s around the region.April 1, 2013 at 9:23 pm #966200Megabeth
ParticipantWould love to see a FCC-Arlington. Perhaps I could propose The Java Shack? They are cyclist supporters and it would be lovely to give back to them…
