Sure, when I’m sailing.
If this northwest wind keeps up much longer, I’d strongly consider rigging up a jib on my bike.

ParticipantAnother vote for Brooks B17. Break it in, and then aaahhhhhhhhh….

ParticipantBeautiful bike, I’m sorry. I sent you a PM, but I’d also recommend sending the photos to the folks at The Daily Rider bike shop, a couple blocks down H St. I think they’ve had some luck with unwitting thieves bringing bikes to their shop.

ParticipantAnother vote for Endura Singletrack shorts, or 3/4 length.

ParticipantFreezing Saddles really opened up my mental bike map, and the city too. One of the best parts of Strava was seeing how others got around – seeing your routes on a map was inspiring.
Rides January 1 – March 20, 2012: I crossed the Beltway twice, never crossed the Anacostia, and Arlington was all trails.

Why, yes, I do have recent experience with that road.
Ha!!
One alternative is to come in via the C&O, and hoof it across the rail bridge pedestrian footpath. The downside is, well, it’s the C&O, and you have to carry your bike up the steps into Harpers Ferry. The upside is you minimize 340. Track here, if it helps.

ParticipantGROUP POST, 9:35PM:
Team 9 wishes to congratulate Team V on an awesome and amazingly FUN Freezing Saddles bike riding competition this winter. You guys are impressive! We, along with all the competitors in Freezing Saddles, rode long, we rode through snow, WIND, sleet, and rain, we saw sights we’ve never seen, we explored places we’ve never been, and most importantly – we got outside and exercised in the dead of winter, rather than sitting indoors.
Many thanks to Bob, Ronwalf, ACL, Kathy, Tim, Hozn, Eminva, the captains, all of Team V, and everyone who made this happen.
And with that, we happily concede… and we look forward to the Happy Hour tomorrow!
Regretfully,

. Team 5, feel free to wait until super late on Wednesday to upload everything.
