ParticipantThanks, every one! I’m doing my best to rest up and recover. Thank you for your well wishes and thoughts! I’ll be sure to keep people updated.

ParticipantWow, Chris S! That is spectacular!!! It will make my “around the world” and “around the country” pointless prize winners much easier to spot!!! Thank you!!!

Oh, thanks! Except I wish I could look at the entire FS community’s Strava rides. HMM….

ParticipantSteve-o, last year Bicycle Space set up a breakfast AND a counter, and a certain Women & Bicycles member put together a women and bicycles IWBTWD happy hour last year (oh, it was me).
I’m even setting up my own happy hour this year! I love International Bike to Work Day.

I can provide you/someone with activity IDs if they want to generate heat maps or look into how this is done.
Is that easy or hard? Basically, I want an easy way to figure out my “around the country” and “around the world” prizes. Alternately, I could ask people to self-submit and then check. Happy to learn how to do it, thank you!

ParticipantI’m not sure how Strava’s heat maps work, but do you know if it would be possible to create a BAFS heat map, or heat maps by team? Please let me know if this is a possibility, thanks!

Not at all, the team can be called anything… I sort of like Thundercats as well.
Another vote here for Thundercats!

If someone sends me a PM with the forum names of the missing, I can get them the real name, e-mail, and Strava link for each of the missing.
Sent! Wasn’t sure of all the names/screen names so may take some matching. Thank you!

ParticipantWhat about Team 17 Magazine? Hahahahahahaha.

ParticipantWell, I invited AverageJo to our Strava team, she’s one of my former roommates from DC (who I convinced to participate last year. Looks like it stuck!).
Can we ask team organizers to email missing people on our behalf or something?elwbikes
ParticipantYeah Chris, I know your name is Chris–I remember you from real life AND strava life! I was trying to remember your screen name, because privacy concerns? Lol.
My dream is to attend the ending happy hour…keep your fingers crossed I can save the money!

ParticipantHi guys! and girls!
I’m Emma, and this will be my third Freezing Saddles. So glad they are allowing remote participants (if we participated in the past) now!!!
I miss DC, but am loving my new home base in Missola, MT. Like Capt. John C, I don’t ride far, but I ride daily. Here’s to hoping I don’t eat any more ice.elwbikes

Last year, the tortoise prize was a Turtle Fur Neck Warmer. I can say that with some authority since I have been the winner of the tortoise prize two years in a row. If I manage this a third time, perhaps we ought to retire the prize?
Um, I think you may have some competition on this front this year. I’m going slow due to riding on pure ICE.

ParticipantI’ll volunteer a prize for the person who rides in the most states, and another one for person who rides in the most countries.
I’m not sure what the prize will be (maybe some Adventure Cycling Swag?!), but it will arrive priority mail to one of the organizers of the ending happy hour.p.s. data people, is there an easy way to do this? Let me know, and if not, I will painstakingly follow each and every contestant and check daily for their ride locations!!!
