ParticipantHi Team! Just joined the Strava group today. This is my first time doing Freezing Saddles and I am looking forward to it! It would be great to do a team ride/meet up!

If someone sends me a PM with the forum names of the missing, I can get them the real name, e-mail, and Strava link for each of the missing.
Sent! Wasn’t sure of all the names/screen names so may take some matching. Thank you!

Hello team members!
Does the team name have to have the number in it? I am amused by the name suggested by the thread name – Thundercats.
Not at all, the team can be called anything… I sort of like Thundercats as well.

ParticipantHey hi Team 17!
As Emma mentioned, this is my second year doing Freezing Saddles. Zee_Rawrrr (on our team) is my co-worker!
I would up for a team ride! Does anyone work in (downtown) DC? I would also be down for a coffee club one of these mornings.
I am also participating (not aggressively) in the Beerneuring challenge, so let me know if you want to join in on one of those rides.
Full disclosure: I despise this forum and don’t quite understand it, so I am not ignoring this team if I seem inactive! I just check Strava more frequently. I will try my best to check in on yall.
PS my name is Jona (pronounced John-a)

ParticipantThundercats works for me too! I’m Deirdre, this is my 3rd Freezing Saddles. Would love a team meet up one of these days.

I will ditto the comment from Jona about this forum (I had to create an account for this game and strava for that matter). I plan to manually enter all my data in strava a couple times a week so there will be a lag but don’t think that means I am not riding! I will try and make a point to check this link a few times a week to see what the group is up to.
I work in DC and usually go to the Friday coffee club at M.E. Swings (I won’t be there this Friday) it’s a great meetup spot and a lot of the people that participate in Freezing Saddles go there. I usually get there around 7:45 but folks roll in continually until about 9am.
I would also be interested in learning more about this Beerneuring you mentioned Jona.. or doing our own spin off as a team.
If anyone wants to go on a team ride this coming Monday (MLK day) let me know.January 12, 2016 at 1:24 am #1044859districity
ParticipantHi all, I’m Karen. First time doing Freezing Saddles. I’m down for group rides. I live in Petworth and work downtown DC. Thundercats sounds pretty awesome. I usually ride much more than I have been for the last week, I’ve just been on vacation. Hopefully I will start bringing in the miles! Also, I don’t really check the forum much either. I’m on Strava almost daily.

ParticipantHi everyone,
This is HF, sorry for being a bit late to the party. This is my second year doing Freezing Saddle. I’m in Falls Church, stones throw from the WOD mile 8, and usually rides in the evening and on weekends as I don’t commute via bike. Perhaps it’s a good thing that I didn’t take part in team naming as I would probably come up with something that’s totally politically inappropriate. I’m fine with ThunderCats vs. something like ThunderPuffins…Cheers,

ParticipantWhew – go away from the forum for a couple of days and things get active. Maybe I should take the hint.
I live in Fairfax, work downtown (Near Capitol hill). I’d love to do some team rides, but I can be a pain to plan with due to the demands of life.January 14, 2016 at 4:37 pm #1045139CPTJohnC

Hey All- this is my first year doing freezing saddles, with that said, I am open to handing over my captain title to someone with more seniority that knows the game.
I also like the idea of getting together, perhaps for a team ride?
Not sure about tracking down our missing teammates. But as the saying goes.. If you’re not first you are last.Stacey: Just an FYI in case you look at this more often that at Strava: Your miles are showing up in Strava but NOT on the Freezing Saddles Leaderboard. Dickie mentioned that you might need to authorize freezing saddles to ‘see’ your Strava data. We have moved up 2 places since yesterday (though the margins are razor thin) and adding your prodigious miles would definitely bump us up several more spots in the standings.
I’m definitely up for an MLK meetup if folks are interested.

Do you have her e-mail address? I can get you that if forum and Strava posts are not working.
