It sounds great, except that it starts about an hour too late. I get off work at 4:00.

I saw two on Custis repairing flats before 7.

I’m going to Heavy Seas. Anyone else?
I plan on getting there early and staying for one beer. I’ll have a blue and green MS150 jersey on.

Suggestion: SSTWD (skid steer to work day)
“Too many bikes and runners on the trail? We have the solution!”

And for commuting on I-66 …

    A blue B2WD 2016 t-shirt? Where’s that from?

It’s just the effect of the light falling on my desk today. Same color as the sky. So strange …

    I joined today. :D

    It was a group effort.
    – I was asked if I was a member in a very friendly manner at the Rosslyn pit stop.
(I didn’t sign up but felt somewhat guilty, because I know I benefit from WABA’s advocacy efforts.)
    – I was asked again at the Golden Triangle pit stop.
(This time I signed up and exorcised the guilt monster.)
    – And I received the sticker at NatGeo pit stop.

    Nice job, WABA folks!

This is why I don’t bike when there’s a risk of ice on the trail. (Sorry, Freezing Saddles!) I’m doing this for my health!

Except maybe when in that commuter fog …

Took a little detour on the way home tonight.

(Yes, I’m quoting myself! It was late last night, so I didn’t write much.)

15 miles to work plus 46 ride afterwards = 61 miles total for the day. Needless to say my legs are a little tired today.

It was my first time down to Mount Vernon by bike. The trail was great–not many people, and it’s just a fun trail to ride. Well, I imagine that could change with more people. I left work at 4 pm and got down there in about 1-3/4 hours. Would definitely recommend a mid-week ride down there. Just pack lights if you’re starting after work.

And many thanks to you for setting this all up and wrestling with Cap City management and moving chairs around and….

It was great to meet DanB, GovernorSilver and Kitty for the first time. With new folks showing up I’m starting to feel like an old hand.

It really was great to put faces to some of the names on the forum. It was also nice to have an excuse to be out riding on a wonderful evening like tonight. Got home a little after 9 pm surrounded by fireflies. :)

Don’t worry. I know what it’s like to bike with kids on the trail. :)
