Correction: This should be 3. Consular mistakenly counted my Feb 2 entry as two falls.

ParticipantI’m pretty sure Bob was just making fun of the Prize Sponsor
Not true. Sounds completely rigged to me. I mean, you might as well have a prize for most rides in Kiev ~ or most rides by a parent of a VCU student! It’s a communist conspiracy I tell you.

ParticipantI got away with only one fall this winter. Turning onto the Custis from the WOD, I knew I wasn’t going to make the turn on the ice despite riding studs, so I rode straight into the snow by the small shelter. I then went over the bars as the bike stopped, landing in soft snow. The bike almost stayed upright even without me on it.

Ooh, that’s a great idea. A prize for the most rides in Kiev. Or for the guy who posts the cutest pictures of puppies. Or for the weirdo who won’t let any butts touch her saddle.
It’s not Commie. It’s a democracy of the bicycle-riding people, and we can make up our own stupid rules!! w&wMarch 21, 2016 at 7:23 pm #1049893consularrider
ParticipantFrom the Strava Freezing Saddles Lynn Salvo posted: “I had three falls, two minor but I still have a bump from the first really hard fall in January.”

Stop Everything You’re Doing and Build a Bicycle Sidecar for Your Dog

ParticipantWell, if you actually had one of those and brought your dog with you, we might cut you some slack. Then again if you’re riding around like that on a flat tire I wouldn’t want to be seen with you.

Well, if you’d like one made of wood, we do know The Proper Carpenter, LLC.

ParticipantI have a late entry: March 5, 2016 around 3:45 pm on Tuckerman Lane. T-boned a car that pulled out in front of me. Garmin says I was doing 28 mph… Unfortunately, this ended my Freezing Saddles #bikeeveryday streak…
Started PT last week, and hope to be back at work in May, approximately 2 months after the collision. Congrats to all the Freezing Saddles winners!

Yep. C6 fracture, both hands sprained, right arm bruising, right hip dislocation, right knee bruised/laceration, left big toe dislocation and fracture, and concussion. Helmet cracked all around. Thanks for the well wishes.
