Murals were traditionally used in Mexico as a way of advertising. They have evolved to the point that the art stands alone. But often, here on the border, the fusion is amazing art that draws your eye without blatantly telling you what the product inside is.

1/5/2024 – I always love seeing the old call boxes repurposed into something lasting.  This one in NW DC (Forest Hills neighborhood – 30th and Albermarle) is from artist Mary Belcher.
