3/13 Mosaic sculpture, near Irving and 17th NE. Unlabeled, but if I had to guess the artist I’d say local artist Valerie Theberge
3/13 – “Connections” by Virginia-based artist Barbara Bernstein who created artwork incorporated into the windscreens of seven Potomac Yard/Crystal City Transitway stations. “Connections” contribute comfort, sustained visual engagement, legibility and safety to the transit environment. This one is located at the end of East Glebe Road just before it intercepts Potomac Ave.

3/11 – I going to see if the #publicartfinder cabal is accepting “nature art” submissions as this blooming magnolia tree was by far the most beautiful piece of public art on Cameroun Street in OT Alexandria this evening.
3/13/24
This sculpture, called “Service Road,” honors the maintenance workers of Rockville. The truck at the top is a replica of the ones they drive.
3/14/24 this is the “temporary“ art installation commemorating the 2019 shooting at the Wal-Mart in El Paso. It invites people to put an orange ribbon on the fence. This is at the corner of Ponder Park, which is where the people who fled the chaos were directed to go and wait.
