ParticipantIt all worked out. I walked over to Tri360 and picked up some Pedro’s levers. Me gusta.

ParticipantI’ve had that tire rim combo that I broke all my levers trying to open it. Since then I’ve seen some youtube videos on bicycle tire removal. If I recall the trick is to keep the tire beads really centered into the lowest part of the rim to create some slack. One guy used toestraps or zip-ties to hold it down. Otherwise I think it’s easier said than done. Right now I have Schwalbe Duranos on Ksyriums, very tight, I cannot remove by hand. Conti Gatorskins on Velocity Dyads, easy on, easy off.
I had to call in that morning to tell them I wasn’t coming in to work because I couldn’t fix a flat tire. Embarrassing. It was Pedros Milk levers that finally got the stubborn tire off. I think the new Pedros levers are stronger. I’m sure there are other good levers out there but I like these ones.

ParticipantI think I spotted AMBikeRun on the MVT as I was coming off 14th St bridge, but it happened too fast to say hi.

ParticipantI also love the Pedro’s levers, I carry those most of the time.
Tour de Fat – lots of nice and interesting bikes to gawk at, and I also managed to run into acc, jrenaut, KLizotte, Dave K, MB+Megabeth, mr. tales from the sharrows, and eminva. ShawnDread – I saw you too but you didn’t see me waving and I wasn’t able to run/chase.

ParticipantNice seeing so many people yesterday — I didn’t get too see all of you because I was manning the wristband booth the entire time I was there.
WABA and the other organizations made $27,000! Thanks, everyone, for coming out.
vvill, please tell me if there is any damage to your car upon further inspection and I will pay for any repairs — good thing I ride my bike to work and not drive.

* Some weirdo (was that you Dickie?)I wasn’t at TDF, but I thought I spotted you on the MVT later that afternoon, we crossed paths just after the HWY50 underpass… I yelled but I wasn’t sure it was you.

ParticipantI saw MB & Megabeth Friday night around 11pm in my ‘hood. As I turned onto a neighborhood street, I see 2 cyclists, then hear “Hi, Gillian” like it’s the most natural thing in the world to be out at 11pm in Cherrydale. It was a great night!
