ParticipantSaw Rod Smith heading east on H at 17th this afternoon about 1230. I yelled “Rod” but, alas, was on foot so I blended into the crowd.

ParticipantRod Smith’s bike sighted about 1230 today without Rod on 21st Street NW. He must have been inside doing a delivery.

JuddParticipantSaw Josh as I was walking home from the bus stop. Managed to confuse the hell out of him before he realized the random guy on Columbia Pike taking his picture was me.

ParticipantSaw and chatted with Coach OneEighth down at Thompson’s Boat Center working with his Yorktown HS crew team. I was proud of him for walking around in his bike shoes. STRADDLING BOTH WORLDS.

JuddParticipantBob Cannon passed me on the 14th Street Bridge last night, but I was on a CaBi and on a bridge so there was no way I was catching him to say hi.

Ideally, you leave the shoes clipped onto the bike and lace into them once you’re on the saddle.

This would be a perfect time to close off the road to the Jefferson and make it a cycletrack to avoid pedestrian/bike/car interactions.

I also saw him on the evening commute crossing the TR bridge where we both realized it’s not possible to low five due to close-quarters clearance. So we nodded and greeted instead. We flew by the previous evening, also, on the Rosslyn hill, although I’m not certain he saw me.
