Cool. I won’t be there this weekend, but it’s really nice to have a more casual group hills ride so close to home. Last time I rode it I only decided 20 mins before the start that I’d go ride. Looks like they may be adding an A group too, from their fb page today: “Just the straight up facts about tomorrow’s group ride!!! 21 miles, 8:30 am, lots of hills, no drop, and so on. But this week, we’ll have an A group too!”
If you haven’t seen it, the route is linked in here: http://www.tri360.com/about/group-rides-and-runs-pg76.htm
Someday when I have a weekend where my wife and child are out of town (not that this ever happens), I would love to try this ride too. As it is, I just take whatever scraps of riding time I can get
. The route looks a little nicer than the FB ride, though I do love that [FB] ride for the intensity of the front.
Does the Tri360 ride stick together more?

It seems at this point that you should probably have “Hypothetical Bike” as one of your Strava bike choices, that way you can accurately log all your test riding.
I keep meaning to add that in…

I *might* be able to hang with a B group. A group? Hell naw…
There hasn’t been an A or B group before, but it has split into a lead group (with the ride leader) and a sweep group (with the ride sweeper). I imagine with a A group it will be similar except the lead group won’t bother waiting for the sweep group to catch up. I have never attempted the FreshBikes “A” group – but even with an A group, this is definitely not the same intensity as that ride.
hozn – you would have no trouble at all leading the lead group on this ride. It’s a fairly small group ride < 20 riders. But yeah it does stay together - they usually regroup at the top of hills, or after a section of rollers, etc.

Such a great day volunteering at the Rosslyn pit stop. Met a bunch of new folks and saw pretty much everyone from the forum. The I ran into Bluerider on my way to work. He was enjoying “bike to fun day” as he was skipping work and heading to Purceville. Hope you enjoyed the BBQ, great riding with you today!
As mentioned, I got to ride with Dickey for a long way down the WOD on Friday. Great ride great conversation.

ParticipantWhat a great morning; perfect temps, no rain, no wind and a Consularrider and Americancyclo spotting. Mondays aren’t so bad after all.

ParticipantDickie and I must pass each other every morning somewhere along the W&OD or Custis in opposite directions. Do we ever see each? No. Takes a morning when we both happen to decide to take the scenic route before we finally cross paths. Good day for a long ride and good to see you!

No kidding, and then to top it off.. I say to myself “hey, there’s Cindy” and then yell Crystal instead… no explanation! Great to see you, maybe we should just keep taking the scenic route.

ParticipantAlso spotted Rando Guy on the W&OD, didn’t yell “Crystal” this time, but managed a “rando” shout! Good to see you yet again sir…. this is becoming a habit.
