ParticipantSuch a great day volunteering at the Rosslyn pit stop. Met a bunch of new folks and saw pretty much everyone from the forum. The I ran into Bluerider on my way to work. He was enjoying “bike to fun day” as he was skipping work and heading to Purceville. Hope you enjoyed the BBQ, great riding with you today!

I never thought I would own a pair of Rosslyn BID shades. Best swag though? The BikeArlington cap.
I did like the cloth Tysons Corner Commuter Bike Map that was being handed out in places. Makes me think I’m the Avatar in an Ultima game now….Ok to get from Trinsic to LBC I need to come up Gallows…

ParticipantMan, I am jealous of all the swag y’all got. I guess the best prize should be leading three first time commuters safely from just inside the beltway to the Rosslyn pit stop and then on to DC, but part of me secretly wanted to hang out, drink coffee, collect swag and hang with forum folks for the whole day. Stupid 830am meeting that I didn’t have time to shower for.
Maybe I’ll be able to take next year off work and JRA with folks.
great to see 1/8, the badger, two wheels, and chris this morning, albeit briefly. let’s do this again soon!
I’m also going to try to hit the Tri360 pit stop on the way home in hopes of upping the swag quotient.

Same here, I didn’t get to enjoy the festivities from the other side of the volunteer tent so I’m hoping to hit Tri360 on my way home as well…. what time you thinking, maybe I’ll run into you.

Ah yes, I held one of those briefly at Freedom Plaza (a rider from FCC had one). Coolest maps ever! I loved using the cannons in Trinsic to take out the guards anonymously to get easy gold and plate armor, etc… uhh yeah.
Maybe see some of you out at Tri360 this afternoon.

I should be there around then, too, so plan accordingly (however you care to interpret that).

I’ll probably be there between 530 and 6. I think I’m also going to take your recommendation and do their group ride tomorrow, weather permitting.

Ok, do I take the short Custis Route or the long MVT/4MRT/W&OD this evening? Depending on how that coin toss come out, I should make it to East Falls Church at either 5:30 or 6:00 too.

ParticipantWell heck, I might as well make a little detour out to EFC on the way home…
Maybe I’ll swing by Bikenetic and take the Hypothetical Bike out for a spin

It seems at this point that you should probably have “Hypothetical Bike” as one of your Strava bike choices, that way you can accurately log all your test riding.

Cool. I won’t be there this weekend, but it’s really nice to have a more casual group hills ride so close to home. Last time I rode it I only decided 20 mins before the start that I’d go ride. Looks like they may be adding an A group too, from their fb page today: “Just the straight up facts about tomorrow’s group ride!!! 21 miles, 8:30 am, lots of hills, no drop, and so on. But this week, we’ll have an A group too!”
If you haven’t seen it, the route is linked in here: http://www.tri360.com/about/group-rides-and-runs-pg76.htm
