    Spotted Ed and Mary from #fridaycoffeeclub this morning headed to hains point and I may have ruined a pic he was taking of the Jefferson memorial.
    Also saw jrenaut on his bianchi northbound on 7th while I was stopped at independence on the evening commute.

    Totally missed you. I was probably focused on not being hit by a car. Not a big fan of that intersection.

    Hozn and I passed a fat-biked, WB, Dirt around Gallows at around 5:15… given his deep and super-serious expression I suspect that thing is harder to ride than it looks

    Crossed paths and had a nice exchange, although brief with Eminva this morning at the top of Virginia Lane crossing 66. I was having a bad day on the bike but her smile got me the rest of the way in a much better mood!

    Nice seeing you, too! We were both getting to the downhill part, so all the reason to smile. :)

    I also saw culimerc a bit earlier, sporting a Bike Arlington jersey.

    The dirty mustache is having a salutory effect — twice in the last 24 hours I found myself behind cyclists on the Roosevelt Bridge who were obviously new and wondering how the heck they ended up on a super narrow passageway between a river and an interstate. In both cases, they stopped abruptly without warning. In both cases I smiled and passed (gingerly) without any comment. Hopefully I’ll keep evolving and in the future be able to find some words that are encouraging and not condescending.

    Did I see a nearly unloaded Rod Smith traveling southbound on 18th between L and M at about 5:30? I was walking incognito in a suit in that bat location and bat time.

    Saw slowtriguy again at the same spot, WOD crossing Lee Hwy.

    Rode with Todd (fellow fixed gear commuter), he dropped his chain and locked his rear wheel right as he leaned into a turn – he managed a miraculous save. I was right behind and had to take evasive maneuvers.

    Crossed paths with the pink one this afternoon on the W&OD near gallows. Gave him a wave and he said “hi”, but pretty sure he didn’t recognize me.

    Just crossed paths with KLizzotte near the airport. We realized it just as we were passing, but it was nice to have a chance to give a wave and say hi!

    Glad you realized who it was since I always feel like I’m in cognito with helmet and sunglasses on. You must have been working late. Damn gnats/black flies. So inconsiderate of them not to wait till complete darkness to come out.

    Passed Dickie on the W&OD just west of Shirlington. I started to make a “heeeeeyyyy” face, but you were in the zone!

    Bugger, totally didn’t see you. I took the “long” way from Rosslyn to Fairfax today and used the MVT which is rare for me so I was basically in new territory with all new faces, didn’t expect to see you…. do you usually head that way? I thought you took Custis?
