I spied Lord of the Mark wating for the 17 bus at the Pentagon last night – we had a good talk about Bike to work day. remember you can join us any Friday at Coffee Club –
it is like each week’s mini Bike to work day celebration.

Now that I’ve officially “decloaked” I guess I should post a pic of my bike (which I did not have with me that day – I was waiting for the bus, admired essigmw’s bike and we started talking about bike to work day).

I swapped “Good Morning”s with The Fractional Man Himself this morning, just east of the Ballston turnoff from the Custis.

Saw bilsko this morning on PA Ave. Neither of us was hit by a cab, as far as I know. He got the jump on me because he was coming out of the sun and I couldn’t tell who it was until he had already greeted me.

Also saw perhaps my new Bob, the guy with the funny battery pack for his light on his back hub.

Yeah – the whole sun-in-the-eyes thing caught someone else I ran into earlier on the ride in today too. Nice to see you out on PA Ave. I did see one illegal U-turn, but otherwise the cagers were pretty well behaved this morning.

Eminva and I crossed paths reluctantly in front of “Helpy Helperton the garbage man” this morning… good to see you, hope my squeaking cleats didn’t alarm you?

Nice to see you! No, your cleats didn’t alarm me; I only saw it was you at the last moment because I was so focused on what Helpy was going to do.

Also happened upon vvill and Rob (?) on Pennsylvania Avenue this morning.

Yep, that was Rob O. of Team Mongo. Good to see you, although I was wearing one of my most fredtacular outfits (need to do bike laundry) so I was hoping not to see too many I knew out there!

Looks like his “Oneness” the fractionman is back to taking the long way around. Yesterday evening I saw him taking the high road (W&OD) into the sunset while I was heading in the same direction on the low road (4MRT) in Glencarlyn. Then this morning there was a disembodied greeting, and there he was on the high road heading east.

Boathouse is off-limits during Spring break. Gotta make it up somewhere…
Good to see you! 3 times in 2 days as of this evening.

Was that Dickie leaving Whole Foods in Clarendon this afternoon? I was walking my bike on the sidewalk with a friend, heading to happy hour around 6pm.

Yep, sounds like me… I was leaving the Apple store at that exact time… Sorry I didn’t see you!

I saw someone! dcv on the Custis headed to work this morning sometime after 8am.

Thanks for not making fun of me for being so slow. I discovered this morning that the charger for the ebike’s battery wasn’t plugged into the wall last night. I also discovered that I can pedal that huge clunker all the way to work with almost no motor help. I have no excuse for not being on my road bike (ok one excuse: it needs a tune up, but hopefully I can get that done this weekend)

Sorry I missed you, did I pass you on the way in? I must have been daydreaming. I hope I was riding politely.

Yeah, at the top of the Custis hill. At least I think it was you (I’m bad at making name-face-forum handle connections). You said hi and waved, then flew down the hill on your beautiful bike (past the woman who had stopped at the light, then randomly got off her bike, almost knocking into you)…

I was on the trail around that time but don’t remember this, I’m riding this bike today. Maybe it wasn’t me? what color was the bike?
