Wasn’t me, pretty sure we crossed paths near the Crystal City connector. You looked deep in thought.

I rode near a guy with a carbon road bike for a while between Memorial and National Airport. He was kitted out nicely. Think he jumped off at Crystal city. You were heading North as I was heading south? Usually by that time of day, I’ve got 7 different voices in my head singing the word “Beer” to different tunes in different tempos… one usually in her own made-up language. That’s why I look like I’m thinking about something important.

Spotted the man with the mustache himself today (I think). Going opposite directions on the long boardwalk just south of Belle Haven Marina on the MVT. Probably around 1100? A finely groomed mustache is often easier to spot than HiViz.

I was in the area heading north around 11. On the red bike. Moving slowly, feeling old, and just plain thankful that the wind was finally at my back…
    Sorry I missed you.

Yep it was you. Thing 2? The headwind going south was rough. Demoralizing for me. Tailwind would’ve been good if my legs worked at that point. No need to apologize. I’ll say hi next time.

Saw a tandem coming up the MVT just after the airport this morning around 9ish. oh! I had name block ALL day long until JUST NOW. Felkerino is one of the names (but can’t remember if that’s him or her). Anyways, HI!

edit: ok, went all stalker on them. MG and Felkerino from the Daily Rand.. randuh. rand’n’r and MG from chasing mailboxes. Yay, my claim to know fame.

And there was DismalScientist again on the MVT near milepost 7 a little after noon – should have said good afternoon instead of good morning. Oh well.

I sighted 1/8 at his place of work this morning. He looked very clean and warm. At the time he was securing a towel from the security guard, so I guess he was about to get even cleaner and warmer. I was dirty and cold and I think I had snotcicles.

Thanks for introducing yourself. It was nice to meet you. :)

Glad I got to say hi.
Snotsicles and stache-sicles are just evidence of a good ride.

Cross-post, rode with eminva on this morning’s snowy commute. This fellow commuter said we were “documenting our foolishness” as he rode past. I love being foolish.

Rode in with Subby this morning. Awesome to meet you, sir! Sorry I wasn’t more sociable. Early morning is my quiet time.

The Man in Black (wearing red) made the right choice between studs or brakes.

Plenty of clearance between the seat tube and studded tire, I see.

Yarp. At least 1.5mm. There just isn’t room for the Tektro or Shimano brakes. I believe the Paul brake fits.
