Saw OneEighth on the stretch between the Roosevelt Island parking lots. Didn’t realize it was him until too late because I was trying to figure out what the silver SUV in front of him was trying to do!
And darn, there he was again this evening just south of the Memorial Bridge squeeze play. This time we had reciprocal audible acknowledgments.

ParticipantSaw Arlingtonrider looping around East Potomac Park this morning, there may have been others, but I didn’t notice Megabeth back for additional punishment. Then on the way home saw Dismalscientist near the 15 mile post on the MVT at Gravelly Point (just as a plane flew overhead).

Do you have moose mitts on the bike now and a reverse commute on the W&OD? The last three days I have seen an orange bike with moose mitts going outbound between Dunn Loring and Vienna on my way in. If it is you, I am on a white/red Cannondale, bundled up for the Klondike.

ParticipantI witnessed consularrider expertly navigating the boardwalks of certain, painful and embarrassing death with aplomb this morning. Watched two others right after him fail miserably. I almost became a bowling pin. Nice to see The Dreaded One and lots more at FridayCoffeeClub. It was cool to see VVill’s person after his return from the Motherland last night. His mind will hopefully be back some time soon… probably after a really long nap.

Wonder how I missed seeing you? Saw OneEighth again on the MVT yesterday evening. Our schedules must be in synch of late.

Hey Liz, since we usually ride the same route / time i’m surprised Culimerc isn’t one of your Bobs in the morning. He and I pass each other all the time. There is another guy on an orange bike westbound around that time too, but Culimerc is the really tall one.
I wonder if I’m someone else’s Bob, and if they miss me.
How is our walker Bob? http://bikearlingtonforum.com/showthread.php?2716-what-about-Bob&p=27786#post27786

That would be me. I’ll keep an eye out.

I saw him on Wednesday and got the friendly wave. I got a subtle message to arrive at work earlier, so I have been leaving the house a bit earlier and don’t see him as much anymore.
And we all miss you one the trail, dcv! Hope your recovery is coming along smoothly.

ParticipantRode with Dread on the Custis this morning, after we apparently both passed Mike Essig earlier.

ParticipantHey Dirt, did you just pass me on the Custis/W&OD heading east?
I heard singing so I figured it was you.

ParticipantI may have seen Megabeth coming off the Custis to the W&OD early this afternoon. Man, it was nice out.

Probably not me. I was on the W&OD heading east yesterday afternoon, but I was escorting a wounded soldier home and not singing at the time. We all made it home safely. It was a slugfest of a ride though.

Sun early afternoon I had a rider zip by me going the other way just past the intersection of WO&D and custis that I thought might have been the lovely Megabeth but I am real bad with names and faces. (I am in the mechanical trades for a reason
) In the 1.2 seconds it took for us to pass each other i noted the rider in question had a nice contented “all is good in the world” expression. Regardless of who it was it is good to see someone happy with what they are doing.
