I must be having a bad day, I’m racking my brain trying to think of a smart comment about Dirt riding his fat troll and I just can’t.

It is the Ahearne, not the Troll if that helps. It sounds better as a Troll.

This is from a couple weeks ago.
While riding out to the Cap. CX classic races with Dirt and Sean, I spotted a dangerous panda on the trail.

And I was heading out for some hills (plus Hains Point loops).

Rootchopper! Was that you (MVT Corkscrew at Rosyvelt Island)?

Thought I recognized you as I went slogging by.

DismalScientist spotted in Revolution Cycles last night breaking seat tubes.

Eminva spotted pinging her bell at cyclists pretending to be runners on the Custis in Rosslyn this morning.

It was a seat post, not the catastrophic end to my 40 year old bike. Funny, the steel frame is fine after 40 years, but an aluminum seat post I bought a year ago is toast. I guess steel is real.

ShawnoftheDread caught up with me in the L street cycletrack this morning on his fancy white road bike.

Nice to see Tim! He was doing that thing I’ve heard about called “running.”

I didn’t stop to take a photo, due to not having a functional camera with me. :(

Is that like pedaling while out of the saddle?

If you look closely, you can see Rootchopper’s tell tale wearing of the bike arlington reflective vest (okay, no you cant…. frankly one could not see anything last night – but I thought I recognized John out of the corner of my eye)

Saw OneEighth on the stretch between the Roosevelt Island parking lots. Didn’t realize it was him until too late because I was trying to figure out what the silver SUV in front of him was trying to do!

Not exactly, “running” is like pedaling without the pedals.

I think it’s more like pedaling without the seat. Whether with or without the seatpost depends on your personal view of running.
