    Saw eminva this morning on the Custis (running late, so I only said hi briefly), and possibly TwoWheelsDC on Westmoreland.

    Dammit, I saw like three other cyclists this morning (possibly a record) and I was pretty sure you weren’t one of them, so I only gave nods rather than waves. Also, I forgot my sunglasses and my eyes were getting a freezing wind blast that made it difficult to make out faces from across the road.

    Nice to see both vvill and dcv this morning. The trail was busy. Everyone’s back to work after the holiday, huh?

    Ack, yeah I would turn around if I forgot sunglasses in this weather. It’s getting towards ski goggles time for me. I’m not 100% sure it was you, did you have a bright yellow jacket on? I rarely make out faces anyway – it’s usually other characteristics.

    Yeah I hadn’t seen it that busy in quite some time. Unexpected given the cold too.

    Yup, probably me. I’ve never seen any other cyclists going NB on Westmoreland in the morning and I’m usually in my yellow jacket. I was on the R3 this morning, so hopefully I had the appearance of being really fast.

    Saw Shawn navigating the Terrorism Prevention Devices in front of Treasury. And I work closer to home than he does so I get to post here and take credit even though he was the one who recognized me first.

    Anyone going the opposite direction to me while I’m navigating Westmoreland near the school around McLean-SUV-mom-time has the appearance of going really fast :D

    Likely Dirt spotting at Lee Hwy/W&OD. Hard to distinguish folks at that intersection though…

    If it is the Lee Hwy/W&OD intersection in Falls Church, I was rolling through there at about 6:05pm. Sorry that I didn’t recog you. I was pretty deep in solving the problems of the universe.

    That was it. Once I could actually tell it was you, you did indeed look very focused and I got this calming sense, for that short moment, the three-body problem wasn’t much of a problem anymore…makes perfect sense now.

    Skipped out of work a little early and saw RCannon single-pinging a jogger heading north on the MVT. The ping masked my shout-out.
