As a full-finger glove aficionado I’m amazingly good at working my phone with my nose. (yes, there are some negative side effects of that and no, you really don’t want to borrow my phone in fall/winter)

I’d be more likely to accept this reason if not for your later post; which included “Thank you for putting a smirk on my face—the only thing better would have been if you had seen me closing on you on the uphills while riding no-hands.” Uphill with no hands and you can’t remove a glove to use an iPhone?

(There goes any incentive to ride with no hands or get an i{hone.)

Ah, but that wasn’t in traffic! When playing in DC traffic I like to have both hands on the bar and two fingers covering the brake.

Nice seeing you! I had my phone in my jersey pocket, but had I attempted photography on the fly, I fear dcv would have been reporting on the carnage behind the Italian Store. This is one skill that needs more practice.

While my buddy OneEighth doesn’t appear in this photo, I didn’t know where to put this photo, so here it is.

Today’s trail run was on a really rough trail. Toward the top of a very rocky section, I looked up and saw something sticking out of the top of a bush.

Thanks! It was great to meet you too. I was not my normal sunny self because (a) it was morning and (b) I was trying to figure out how to juggle all of appointments, meetings and work of the day. At least it was a beautiful morning to ride. Almost as nice as this morning!

Good seeing you! No, I didn’t think you were following too closely — I have to explain why I stopped abruptly. In a custom that only makes sense to me, I take a photo of my trip computer whenever I turn over another 1000 miles (in helps me, in looking back over time, to see how quickly and consistently I reach a set milestone, and whether the frequency varies by season, etc.). I just realized I needed to snap that photo the moment you went by. Good seeing you and nice Bike to Work Day shirt!
