Got a nice Low Five from Fraction Man himself on the Troll Bridge, then another attempt with sjclaeys later on, and success with GB on the WOD… I’m a low five ninja! Think I spotted Lordofthemark riding through the Roosevelt Island parking lot this morning around 7:00am. Good forum day!

Guess who I saw this past morning, around 10am or so? Grant (a.k.a. Mr. Dasgeh?) on the Bakfiets, turning left to go south on George Mason Drive, on the bridge over Route 50. Looking very aero with the canopy over the cargo area.

He’s gtmandsager on the forum, and yes, you probably saw him on the way to preschool (a little on the late side, it seems). That canopy is absolutely amazing — keeps the kids warm and dry and actually isn’t too much of a sail, unless there’s a cross wind. Then it’s a total sail. Fun times.

I actually took the bakfiets this morning to bring in a crockpot for the holiday party and to move stuff back to my normal job (yay, have the commute!). A Capitol Police officer who lives in Arlington said he recognized it from a visit to the ER (we were there over the summer).

Also saw jreneaut on his way to Hains Point but wasn’t fast enough for a pic.

Was that Dread that I exchanged light coverings with on the W&OD? I thought I heard “hey TwoWheels” as we passed, but I wasn’t sure, since I was focused on keeping my light covered….the way my light is positioned, it’s really hard to cover and requires taking my left hand off the bars, so I couldn’t cover it and wave at the same time.
