I saw Tim Kelley under the smelly fishmarket bridge except he wasn’t riding a bike so maybe it doesn’t count. And I saw hozn except it was at his house when I was returning his GPS so I don’t think that counts either.

Alright, I had to use the Strava Flyby tool to confirm this, but as I was riding from Wakefield Park to the bridge over I-495 to reach Americana on Saturday afternoon, I swore I recognized Vince and Monica. They were riding road bikes on the not-road-bike-friendly gravel road (the edge of the road was more hard-packed dirt) leading down from the bridge. I was wearing my (new) blue 50 States Ride t-shirt, black shorts, and had a neon green bag in my hybrid bike’s rear basket. I spent the entire climb up to the bridge thinking, “Wait a minute, I think I recognized those cyclists!”

Sorry i didn’t recognize you, too busy trying not to wash out in the deep gravel. I remember passing each other now in hindsight, it was a beautiful afternoon for a ride. Next time we’ll stop for a pic, thx.

Missed a low-5 with Dickie this morning near Brandymore Castle. Perhaps we both thought that by employing late starts and slow rides we could avoid getting soaked from either the rain above or the sweat within our rain gear.

Rode with Shawnof-Intersection-Fame a bit last night, through his namesake intersection. Abruptly let him ride off when we passed a friend riding home with his kid who I’ve been meaning to email. Sorry about that.

Saw Dickie this evening on the Custis at the bridge over 66. Mustered a quick “Dickie”.

Fast Friendly Dave spotted me on the WOD just west of the Custis intersection, going the same way. We rode together for 1/2 mile before I had to peel off to head home. He was getting in his final NBC miles.

Fraction man spotted last night. He almost didn’t see me, as I was in my yogging costume.
