I was at the Intersection of Doom yesterday morning working on getting an exclusive signal phase for bikes & peds and saw approximately 1/4 of the forum go past.

Sorta makes me wish I worked in DC, but not really.

Rod Smith sighting in the PA Ave cycletrack.

And I saw three longtails. One in the morning, no one I knew, then I ran into kidicalmassdc (I forget if that’s her forum handle but I imagine most of you know or know of her) on 15th and then, on foot to the corner store, I saw a friend from the kids’ school (not on the forum) on his Xtracycle. It’s like DC is Longtailville.

I was riding with Pete D, and we were also with FFG and Greg beforehand. I looked up kind of late though, it was a last split-second recognition.

PeteD must have peeled off at some point. I had a flyby siting on the Custis/Two Sisters about 8:30am. Yelled a greeting; got a response.

Also a flyby Tuesday eve of ArlingtonRider on the 14th St. Bridge. I was heading to the Nats game and she was heading into VA–presumably going home from work. Always nice to share a wave with a cycling friend.

Saw you at the last moment, and tried and failed for the fly-by high-five. Yelled back Sorry! because of the miss.
