Dickie
ParticipantA few weeks ago I came across a cyclist struggling to bandaid a stripped crank arm on the WOD. I stopped and offered help.. he borrowed my multi-tool. As it turned out his pedal had loosened and destroyed the threads. He was on a pretty stealthy and sweet looking carbon road bike, seemed pretty damn fit and had a good idea what he was talking about. …. as we departed he told me his name was Harry… I thought to myself… could this be the MeatMotor himself? I concluded that it wasn’t, no way the MeatMotor leaves home without a multitool! If it was our very own Harry… nice to meet you!

ParticipantManaged to catch up to Dickie at Brandymore Castle as he headed west to his tyranical boss. Only went as far as Van Buren St with him, then he went right and I went left to do a short loop before taking the more or less direct route to work.

That was likely an impostor. My stealthy bike (see here) is not yet roadworthy. But, if you’re implying that, on the forums, I seem

I’ll certainly take that as a compliment!

ParticipantI would like to report another Intersection of Doom accident: Some crazy cyclists coming from GTown Yonder almost ran me off the road.
KayakCyndi and I had a very nice conversation as I struggled up the Arlington Hill.
I know its a statement of the obvious, but it is so marvelous to get into these small conversations on the commute home. Not just that the bike ride is a brilliant way to start and end the day, but you get to chatter with nice people.
I obviously need a longer commute home.
BTW: As I told KayakCyndi, all puppies have been adopted.

ParticipantI’m pretty sure it was hozn who blew past me after the Gallows light around 5pm yesterday. By the time my brain connected the “titanium commuter + red handlebars + green helmet” dots, you were already somewhere else.

ParticipantPassed Arlingtonrider somewhere on the 4MRT/MVT on Friday afternoon. Shouted out HNNG KFRRRRRRNGIIIII! Well, that’s probably what it sounded like to her.

ParticipantPassed the bike – bar today. Apparently the Arlington police actively discourage beer pass-downs.

ParticipantCrossed paths with DCV leaving a train of riders in his dust, then caught up to Rolo…. well actually she was helping a runner with directions…. it was great having a riding partner for a few miles.

Sorry, wasn’t quick enough for a low five or pic. Next time.
I was able to snap a pic of culimerc about 15 minutes earlier, longer sightlines gave me enough time.
