I was sighted by Shawn Dread downtown. Sharp dressed man. Might not have recognized in his civvies if he hadn’t shouted out. :)

And I was walking like a sucker. I need a CaBi membership.

    Good to see you.

I pronounce it “Horizon” … but then again, I get everything wrong. :p

    This is my favorite.

So, the story behind the name … in 8th grade I was a very shy kid, just back in the US (MN) from 8 years in Madagascar and I had to give a presentation in my English class. I went to the front of the class, but before I could start several of the kids started asking “How do you spell your name, anyway!?”. I may not have been a fan of my name as a kid, but I still thought the question was ridiculous. So I wrote “Hozn” on the board. It kinda stuck as a written (but not really spoken) nickname. So I just pronounce it “Hans” :)

How does one pronounce “hozn” anyway?

I always thought that it was short for “Hattori Hanzo”

Saw GB as I was locking my bike up at work Thursday morning. Of course, the reason we even saw each other is that I was almost an hour late for work, but it was a pleasant sighting. My jet lag from my LA trip had a delay of a few days, it seems.

Overslept and missed the friday commuter caravan, crossed paths with hozn on the way to FCCII.

L-R: dirt, culimerc (going the wrong way on a fri), dickie’s back, consularrider, eminva (who ran / cabi’d to fccii – awesome) and dismal scientist in casual wear.
    Wait, what’s dickie doing?

Then rode into dc with sjclaeys and ran into cara and peter.

Must be a pretty exciting FCC if people can’t even keep their pants on.

I’ve always tried to pronounce it the way it looks. Then, without fail, someone hands me a tissue.

…and probably best not to watch it (esp. on your work computer/work network). Oops.

Ran into dirt on Virginia Lane after his epic day on the bike today.

Then rpiretti (formerly know as rando guy) at Gallows Road:

Ran into Mikey coming across the 14th Street Bridge. Rode together across the Boundary Channel bridge and down Boundary Channel past the Pentagon.

Good to see you Rod, as always.

Although the caption for that picture seems to be more like “Who’s the weirdo taking my picture?”

Or maybe “It’s the wind that makes my jacket puff out like that.”
