Saw a venerable member of this forum doing something unspeakable during the evening commute yesterday. Yes, I’ve done it many times myself, but it was still sad to witness.

Saw Dismal Progeny Prima slogging to school this morning.

I wonder which of us got to Ballston first.

You did. I took CABI from the Ballston metro and you definitely would have passed me if you were behind me.

I confess. It was me. I was both late getting home and totally scared-y-pants about the state of the trail, so I was loading my bike on the bus at the bottom of the Rosslyn hill. Based on the state of the trail this morning, I made the right choice.

But it was actually nice to hear a friendly voice, even if I was *busted*.

Yes, good call. The trail wasn’t rideable without studs in several places.

But may have been easier than fishtailing through the slush on the uphills.

Exchanged waves with Dirt on Washington near Quincy before being passed by a battalion of fire engines!

TK spotting at Gravelly. I think the recognition was mutual but it was hard to tell.

That turned out pretty well! I thought I had my head turned. I didn’t know how far back that guy behind us was.

Nice evening and nice ride with dcv.

I spotted Arlingtonrider who told me the Sandy Hook Ride on Washington was was about to roll by. That was very lucky as I had not planned to catch them on their ride through town. I’m so glad I was able to ride with them on the final mile of their ride. Thanks Kathy!
