ParticipantI rode past FractionMan’s house 8 times this week. He and his family have done a lovely job of shoveling the driveways and sidewalk, though is motorcycle looks very sad.

Best place to be when the trails on each side are piled with snow and slush.

I did both. Ended up just buying stuff to fatten me up.

I know, right? Gone are the days when I would shovel a path from my drive to the nearest plowed street because my street rarely got plowed and I felt compelled to motorcycle to work. Now I prefer to be cold and wet on the bicycle. Is that so wrong?

Of all the motorcycles I would have guessed you owned, a BMW would have been down the list almost as far as a Road King. Remove all extra bits from bicycle, add extra bits to motorcycle?

Absolutely on both. Sorry for my inattentiveness. We were doing an inaugural ride for some of HUD’s new BikeShare program members. CaBi was superb in their help as we asked them to come by about a half hour before and stock the station. Because I wanted to make sure there were bikes available for all, I sacrificed and rode my CAAD X rather than deny someone a CaBi. The goal was to get folks on CaBi’s and back in 30 minutes. We didn’t go far but we made up for it by going slow.

We stopped for a group photo at the Capitol and then headed back.
About 150 feet from the CaBi station, the lady behind me blew her rear tire. That was quite loud. We were then able to provide a bit of instruction on the walk of shame, pushing the bike broke button, and turning the seat to the distress position.
A fine time was had by all.
