An actual sighting of the fractional man himself.

Had the pleasure of riding with 1/8 the length of National Airport this evening.

That I was able to keep up with him is either a testament to my fitness or his graciousness. Certainly the latter. Thanks.

It took me about a half hour this morning using upholstery thread, with tiny stitches in the brim looped through the vents in the helmet. Ironically, the hat’s too small for my head but works on the helmet. I’m getting ready for the Hains Point 100 on Sunday!

Nice to meet you, Dave. You are definitely friendly.
Glad we had time to chat for a bit this evening, Mr. dbb.

I was at the National Festivus Pole, er, Xmas Tree this evening when I had a Dirst sighting… on the tandem with WABA sign in tow in a convoy of about five other bikes heading east. Nice night for a ride.

I had a double on the ride home last night. I got to ride with vvill for a couple of miles, all hipstered out in jeans riding a SS. ;). And then I think I pass Hozn in Falls Church, I yelled, but you were past by that point.

Oh, that was you; that makes sense! Yeah, I I was towing the kid home. I said hi, belatedly, but I didn’t recognize you / the bike / the commute direction :) Good to see you!

Saw MattAune heading south on Wakefield Chapel early this afternoon, looked like he was on the tail end of a lengthy ride. I was ensconced in the cage.

Ha, glad someone noticed. I also had Chrome shoes :D

(I was heading home after a work christmas lunch thing and took metro in, so didn’t bother with kit for just a return commute. In the summer, I would.)

Passed ShawnoftheDread on the WOD this morning past Vienna. Recognized his bike first.

Did I see Dirt on the W&OD zooming down the hill by Idylwood Park this afternoon? It could’ve been Santa…he looked pretty jolly…

I saw consularrider and fast friendly guy on the WOD yesterday, they were both on the return leg of their centuries. I think they were riding together and didn’t know it. My wife asked if Dave always rode with a Santa hat – that would be so cool if you did all year round, that would be your signature piece. Kudos to both of you on your centuries.

rcannon / hozn – i think this should count against their handicap on BAFS (joking)

    (but not really)
