Yup! Hard to say if I noticed much difference in the frame beyond the weight. The bike overall definitely felt faster at higher speeds (aero profile I’m guessing) and perhaps “stiffer” – probably the wheels. The handlebars were a bit wide for my liking though, the tires were pumped up higher than I would normally do, and I’m not doing full efforts through my upper body yet so not really a completely fair test. Fun though!

Oh and I hadn’t ridden SRAM before so I sometimes shifted on the cassette the wrong way.

Saw the BA Triumvirate on Wilson in Rosslyn going to lunch. Yesterday passed dbb near the Arlington water treatment plant and saw Mr Cannon in the AM on the MVT.

Lovely morning, the wife and I headed to Best Buns for coffee and spotted Consularrider and Hoffsquared enjoying a tailwind. Great to see you both!

We had one last year as Black Friday Coffee Club – on the friday after Thanksgiving.
We had Consularrider, eminva, Arlingtonrider, and myself.
I’d be up for it again.

That was the last of the tailwind. Shortly after the Dickie and spouse sighting I had the joy of a headwind for 10 miles since it seemed it was coming from all sides at East Potomac Park.

Oh yeah, and an alternate FCC at Best Buns every now and them would be fine. Or maybe a separate Hump Day CC?

After weeks of frantically waiving at JimK he finally spotted me this morning on the W&OD at Columbia Pike’s disaster crossing…. yelling his name certainly helped Good to see you sir! Spotted Rando as I was about to cross Gallows right before a Crazy Ivana with ear buds nearly took me down….There’s never a good place to pull that move, but at the Gallows crossing with a convoy or riders waiting in line is perhaps the dumbest. I also got the “I smell fart face” from her, or perhaps she just looks like that all the time.
