Ok, is Dickie everywhere or just more memorable?
Maybe he is actually the infamous crime fighter Chickenman – “He’s everywhere, he’s everywhere!” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcQfy1SavdQ

Wasn’t that originally radio (I listened to it in the 60s in Chicago, on WCFL)? Nothing much to watch/

I also think that I saw Dickie on 4MRT going through one of the underpasses.
Yep, I thought the same… were you wearing your multi-color jersey today?

Dickie: Glad to know it was you. Yes: I have had to put on a lot of sunblock lately because of an allergic reaction I had to some unknown substance. I usually leave home in Vienna at about 6:40; I’m 1-1/2 miles from Gallows. I take the W&OD to 4MRT to the MVT. Would like to stop and talk sometime.
Yep, Iv’e seen you lots lately… I’ll flag you down next time.

ParticipantWas that MattAune with his new road machine on top of a
minivan? (Though that is Rule 4 compliant.) August 6, 2013 at 11:36 pm #977601dcv
ParticipantShawn Dread I saw you on Annandale Road waiting to cross Route 50 this morning, I was driving too fast to take a pic.

I decided to hitch a ride to the TNR, I did however man up and ride the bike home after the ride. I Went the ShawnoftheDread approved route of 19th->Cherry->Annandale Rd. Then I proceeded to get lost in my own neighborhood.
I caught up with Dirt after the free food and he showed me a much easier way to get from Ballston to the Custis. Thanks for that, it was a pleasure to ride with you.

ParticipantI got to ride home from TNR with Matt last night. Had fun riding with VVill, DaveK, TimKelley and MegaBeth last night.
What an interesting thing TNR is. I’m glad we didn’t try to start with the pack. It was fun on the fixie.

Ha — I was wondering. I saw a bike matching the earlier-posted photo leaning against a car after the ride. But then I saw another on the bike rack (but the other had no saddle bag), so I figured it was possible that other people may have happened to own a similar-looking bike. That is a TNR-approved machine.
I also saw a few Specialized disc-brake road bikes out there. Awesome.
And great to see vvill and Dirt after the ride too — it took me a half second to realize it was Dirt given how quietly he asked how the ride was (my only Dirt experience was the extremely gregarious Dirt of Kill Bill).

ParticipantYeah, starting to think we should do an even earlier start for the TNR, if we’re not running late then we can do 3 Powhatan loops instead of 2.
I got to ride this (yes, with eggbeaters)

What a great group! Y’all really have to stop by after TNR’s (on non-taco nights, of course). We have beer too. And a wicked porch swing.

Participant“Hey you kids! Get off my lawn!!”
Got stuck in traffic behind you punks at Military and Lee Hwy. The Kidv2 wanted to know how long we would be stuck in traffic. I just sat there with my head out the window, tongue wagging, drooling at all the pretty bikes. What a great site!
