A delightful surprise last night – a real (and long overdue) visit and ride along FMR with the fraction man himself! It was great to see you!

Was also nice to hear a friendly call out from someone coming from VA on the 14th Street Bridge around 7:10 pm, but we passed each other too quickly for me to be able to tell who it was (?).

Was me. Outside my usual time window but yesterday was a long day.

Spotted Vicegrip riding thru some gravel to get onto the W&OD. I don’t think we’ve met but I remembered the bike/kit from on here. Took me a few seconds or I would have hollered.

I was the crazy person yelling “Rod, Rod” on 7th Street, SW by the railroad bridge and C Street. I was dressed in civilian clothes walking back to work from lunch. You were heading towards Independence. I recognized the trailer and the beard.

I spotted Rod this afternoon at 4th and Eye SW, and road over to 6th with him. Who cares about the royal birth when you get to meet and talk with D.C. Bike Royalty!

You guys are funny. If this forum wasn’t composed of the nicest people ever, I’d assume you were making fun of me! Celebrity, Royalty, geez! Nice to meet you, Mikey, now I won’t have to wonder every time I see a pedicab driver if he was you. Kathy, I didn’t realize someone was hollering at me until I was well past you. You saw me look back, we waved at each other, and I almost turned around to find who you were! Thanks for making the effort to get my attention, I’m glad we had at least a brief, distant interaction. Next time I hope it will be a closer encounter.
