I am dubbing them the Crystal City Coffee Club Kindred Krew. Cause alliteration is reason enough.

Or the C4K2 for short. You could look at it as a weird carbon-potassium molecule or a combination of C4 explosives and K2, the 2nd tallest mountain in the world. Explosive climbers?
…all right. I’ll stop.

ParticipantI was thinking this could be the explosive coffee club… because c4…
I had a wonderful ride this morning, but because I didn’t get in until about 8:40, and left at about 8:50, I didn’t see anyone else. I did have a nice relaxing break and the extra 4 miles were easy trail miles.

I’m thinking g of changing it to the Cosi Crystal City Cycling Coffee Club.
If I can find some more Cs to add we can turn it into a Bucky ball.

I’m sure that sjclaeys will have more ideas, but here are a few more Cs for your consideration:
Cosi Crystal City Cycling Coffee Club: committed commuters convening cheerfully at cockcrow for caffeinated conversation. Certifiably crazy.

Small addition^

Careful, cause calling cessations could clearly close comradely comedic capers, crushing certain cautious colleague’s caring conviviality.

I’m glad there was no milk in my mouth when I read this because it would have flown out my nose. And also because I’m lactose intolerant.

ParticipantGreat day out there! Today I went to Friday Coffee Club at Java Shack! I usually go to the one in DC (currently at A Baked Joint). I have to say, what a great group of people! Both Cyndi and eminva let me test ride their Volagi’s, and I am very grateful! It was also nice to see rcannon, sjclaeys, DCV, Chris Shue, Shawn Dread, Fast Friendly Guy, Steve O, Vern and Dismal. I’m going to have to stop at this coffee club more often. Thanks for a a fun morning everyone!

Yay Ian! Pleasant surprise to see you, of course.
Also, photographic evidence that the BA cycling cap left behind was FFG’s. Dave – Cannon has it.May 27, 2016 at 3:42 pm #1052864bobco85
ParticipantA lot of people were out this morning which was great. I briefly talked with a fellow cyclist on Beauregard then later was 4th in a queue of people waiting at the W&OD/Columbia Pike light (there was a queue of 3 on the other side, too). One of the folks was really squeaky as he rode, but I did not have my spare grease with me so I could not help.

ParticipantWoke up earlier than normal this morning and did a few more Hains Point laps on the way in. Passed by a nice young lady who called her pass the same way that Komorebi does and then turned to me and said, “Whew, it’s muggy as fuck today” which gave me a chuckle.

ParticipantWas surprise passed on the Ciustis this morning when I slowed for two bunnies. I had the mo so passed back on the next hill (which I normally don’t like to do, but: mo), then promptly dropped my chain. It was worth a chuckle.

ParticipantGot sweaty and my glasses got nasty. Took them off and thought I stuck them in my jersey pocket. Only to get to work and now I can’t see them anywhere!
If anyone happens across a pair of eyeglasses along this route they could be mine! I took them off on Buckeye Dr SW, but not sure if that’s where they met pavement.
