Ah. That explains the empty shoes in the middle of the trail, just ahead of the three cruisers that were parked there. I didn’t get pictures either–it seems gauche to stand by snapping pictures of police activity; besides, I rolled through after the naked man event (thankfully).
Agree about not taking pictures, just didn’t seem right. And watching and hearing someone get tazed is well, just shocking.

ParticipantHere’s a nice bike goat commute:
Although, personally I think it’s a gazelle and not a goat. Any experts out there?

I am disappointed they would have posted a goat/gazelle video where the animal wasn’t wearing a helmet.

ParticipantTalked one of my co-workers into joining me for this morning’s commute – made for a super enjoyable ride in this perfect weather

ParticipantI’m riding up Wisconsin waiting at a light and a guy at the crosswalk tells my my front blinky is very bright. Sort of in the riding dazed moment, I enthusiastically said thanks. It was only until I was halfway up the next hill that I realized he wasn’t complimenting me even though I thought it was great, thinking well if he’s noticing then cars are.

About 9:30 or so on Friday? I rolled by and saw the empty shoes and was told to go around on Shreve. I caught a glimpse of the guy handcuffed, sitting on the ground.

Yep. I stuck around for a few minutes and then just went around on Shreve. It was a sting because there were cops jumping out of the bushes for this guy.

ParticipantCrazy Ivan on the MVT near Gravelly Point this AM. Fortunately he was still a good 100 ft in front of me, but I had been closing in on him at a good clip. I had already rung my bell once from slightly further back, but earbuds!
I was about to ring by bell again and call out my pass verbally since you were oblivious to the world around you. Had this happened just a few seconds later, it could have been ugly.
Also, Ivan, you’re lucky the cyclist coming south on the trail saw you; your maneuver cut him off too. Did you look ANYWHERE before executing your fantastic move? You know you’re not alone in this world, right?

Huh?
Saw the same thing this morning and had the same reaction. My guess is that a seagull dropped it.
