Given my frankenbike, my FCN is a little difficult to ascertain, but I’m somewhere between 10 and 12. What’s yours?
Yesterday was a 2 (road bike commute), today was an 8 (be-knobbied CX/touring commute). Fitness rides are 0.

Apparently I’m a 10. That’s is what I love about this forum: I learn something new every day! I will probably get nowhere with this game, though, because I have a reverse commute during off-peak hours, and during cold weather I hardly ever see anyone going either way. Makes it hard to pass people.

ParticipantThere’s an option for “Fast hybrid” but not for “heavy, tank-like hybrid.”

ParticipantThey should update the calculator with a Bikeshare option.

Why lie, sometimes I find it amusing when someone passes me on the straightaway and then I pass them on the proceeding uphill stretch. I can almost hear them huffing and puffing to be first to something and growing frustrated that I climbed faster than them on my crappy bike
. It’s like a reverse Cat 6 mentality. The funny part is I think I’m going slowly up those hills.
Sounds like a “Dickie moment” to me.

ParticipantIcier than you may think today. Took a nice fall on my face around a simple turn. Don’t worry, it was the left side of my face, non-drive side, so all is good.

ParticipantI hit the Custis rollers pretty fast this morning…got a little air, but I was able to pull it out. Looks like a passerby caught it on film:

The ice got me too. Custis trail, on a part I thought was in sun (I had already identified that shady areas and bridges were icy). I took it on the right buttock, and the only real damage is that my front wheel broke a spoke, so is now out of true. Thanks for being so flexible, Disk brakes.

Where are the Custis rollers? I’ve heard them mentioned before but don’t know exactly what people are referring to.

Probably referring to the rollers by W-L High School (one section there is also referred to as the Two Sisters). Of course, the Custis consists mostly of small ups and downs, so he could mean just about the entire trail.
I looked out my back door, saw the ice coating my deck and decided to take out the icebike. By the time I got to the TR Trollheim, it wasn’t so bad, but I was happy to have a better grip where there was ice or hoarfrost.

Right about here. They’re “rollers” in the sense that they are several deep depressions in the trail…they’re particularly fun when frozen over and/or filled with leaves/standing water.
